Find a way to get some leverage

Moments ago, Vivan had watched her nearly naked mortal enemy lock her into the attic. Seeing the Asian girl only reminded her of the torment she received at graduation. People have teased the redhead about it ever since.

Vivian had fun messing with Lucy in school, but she was proving to be a **** to be reckoned with again.

Vivian didn't take long to find the same peepholes that Lucy used to monitor Vivian. When the redhead spotted her, Lucy had already put on a pair of jeans. Was she plotting something?

Lucy thought hard about how she could get out of this. Her best option was to get some kind of bargaining chip from the girl. It would have been most convenient if she could've stolen some of Vivian's clothes, but how could she even get them without opening the attic?

Lucy did have one thought. There were ceiling vents attached to flexible ducting. Someone could probably pull the tube off to pass something down. After thinking about it, she went back to the attic access.

Lucy called out, "Hey, Vivian. Can you hear me?"

"You planning on letting me down anytime soon?" she responded.

"I'm thinking about it if you'll work with me," Lucy answered.

"I didn't come here today to fight, Lucy."

"Then all I want is some leverage to prove your honesty."

Vivian paused, "What do you mean?"

"You see that vent up there?" Lucy asked. Vivian looked toward the ducting above the dining room. "I want you to pull off the duct. I'll meet you over there."

Vivian crawled over and did as asked. "Now what?" She called down.

"Now push the vent out."

"Okay, if you say so." Vivian kicked the vent a few times until it came loose. Lucy caught it from below when it fell. It left a hole, but not so big that most people could fit through it. The redhead still found Lucy unpredictable.

"Great," Lucy set the vent on the floor, "Now I just need some of your clothes."

"M-my clothes?" Vivian was surprised at the request.

"Yeah, if you genuinely don't want to fight, just give me some clothes. If you're topless or bottomless, I'll let you down and give them back," Lucy explained.
