Chapter 8

How does Lucy's plan go?
Her plan starts out good
Vivian headed to the back of the restaurant to investigate where the noise she heard had originated.
Her freckled face peeked around the corner and into the kitchen. Nothing worth noting. Everything in the kitchen appeared unused except for the coffeemaker, which made sense given the cup outside.
She did notice an out-of-place chair down a hallway off the kitchen. It didn't block anything, was someone standing on it? Vivian spotted the thin outline of an attic hatch above the chair.
The redhead climbed on the chair and stretched for the latch. She wasn't tall enough, so she jumped for it. It finally came loose and almost swung into her. The dark attic was open, but climbing into it would be challenging.
Vivian hopped up and grabbed the edge of the hole. She swung her upper body up first and scurried up the rest of the way.
The attic seemed empty. Unsatisfied, Vivian started crawling around to investigate.
Meanwhile, Lucy lay motionless, holding her breath. She had buried herself in insulation, hoping Vivian would go a different direction first. Luckily, her plan was working.
She slowly rose to escape through the hole before her old bully saw her. Except there was one problem. Her shirt was caught on something. Lucy tugged on it frantically before giving up on it. She started unbuttoning the shirt to get it off as quickly as possible.
Vivian had gotten a decent way into the attic when she noticed some motion behind her. It looked like someone was moving around.
Lucy was alarmed when she saw the redhead coming back. She tore off buttons as she wriggled out of the button-up. She jumped through the hatch just before Vivian arrived.
The visitor gazed down over the edge, "Lucy?"
"Hi Viv," Lucy greeted as she slammed the hatch shut again.
The trapped girl banged against the exit, but Lucy had no interest in letting her out. Instead, she headed to the dining area and hopped over the bar. She felt the cold metal against her naked side as she slid over.
"Hell yeah," she shouted in victory, pulling out her jeans from the shelf. However, a complete lack of underwear tempered her success. Someone had apparently put the rest of the clothes somewhere else.
Still, Lucy wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to wear pants again. The denim was at home on her legs. Sure, she may still be topless under her apron, but this at least felt explainable.
Now Lucy's biggest problem was what to do about the demon in the attic. She can't just leave her up there as much as she'd like.
Dealing with this would be much more formidable than escaping the attic, and now Vivian knew Lucy was here.
What does Lucy do?
