More Like An Ass Kicking

The scroll gets engulfed with a bright red flame and the world around us disappears. I look around and see we're standing in a meadow surrounded by trees.

"What is this?" I ask.

"This is a training ground, a meadow one to be precise. People create these to train and practice in." I nod and he continues. "Now then, let me explain the rules. First you win by landing a clean hit on me. I win when you give up. Feel free to use any spell or trick you have, and don't worry about injury. Now lets start!" He shouts the last part before charging at me. I quickly swap to my armor and dodge. He smiles and charges again, faster than before. I barley dodge it and raise my fist and swing it at him. He catches it and starts talking. "Eric, you can't hold back. I know that Observe skill of yours says I'm weak but let me explain why. I Soul-Linked with Claire, letting us share our Stigmas. Hers however overrides mine, so she cant use it. My Stigma is called The Dragon, and for good reason. It converts all my mana in physical strength. In return I cant cast spells but I was a fighter not a mage." He grabs my wrist and tosses me. I manage to land on my feet and cast Ancient Beastial Strength and pull out my claws. He charges me but much faster now. I can barely react in time to dodge. I try swinging my claws down on him but he steps back and kicks.

I barely managed to stay on my feet. He charges me again and I raise my left hand up. Before his attack lands I start swinging my arm down and cast Blink. I appear behind him and cast Ancient Beast Slash. He jumps and goes at least 20 feet in the air. When he lands he immediately charges me again. We continue this for awhile, him attacking with overwhelming Strength and I keep Blinking or dodging him. After what must've been 15 minutes I drop to a quarter of my mana. Then I get an idea. I Multicast Thunder at him and quickly cast Flare in my hand. The moment he dodges I have Flare attack me and cast Swap. We trade places and he sees Flare inches away. I smile, thinking I got him when he jumps again, much faster and higher than before. He lands and starts laughing.

"I give, I don't have the mana to continue." I say.

"Well, that was still impressive. I expected not to have to put in any effort, but I almost broke a sweat." My gramps adds causing me to sigh again. "Now let's go back." He pulls out another scroll and opens it. The next moment I'm back in my living room. Luna runs up to me wearing her dress.

"Good you're back. She's been asking nonstop so I just did the washing by hand. Saved me about half an hour." Asami says seeing us.

"Eric my dress is ready, let's go!" Luna says cheerfully and hugging me. My gramps laughs.

"Okay let me take a quick shower." I tell her, causing her to pout. While in the shower I look at my notifications.

Complete three different quests. Rewards: +5 INT, +3 LUC. Accept: Y/N

I accept both quests and dry myself off. When I leave my bathroom I see Luna waiting.

"Come on! Lets go!" She says pulling on my arm.

"Okay, okay hang on." I reply escaping her grasp. She pouts and follows me to the living room where Asami is alone. "Hey Asami, do you want me to pick up anything for you? Also where's gramps?"

"Oh he went over to Claire's. He said he'll be staying with her and to challenge him whenever you want. Also thank you, but there's nothing else I need." She says stepping up to me and hugging me. I pet her and hear Luna growl.

"Ugh come on!" She says pulling on my shirt.

"Okay, bye Asami we'll talk later." I say and she giggles and nods. Luna lets go after we leave the apartment. We start walking to the same store I got Asamis clothes. Despite the attitude of the worker the clothes are good. That and it's close to a side stop I need to visit.
