Breakfast

Me and the girls appear in the living room. Gramps is sitting on the chair on his phone.

"There you are. What took ya so long?" He asks me, and I quickly make up an excuse. "Anyway lets start eating. " He says pushing Asamis and Lunas plates toward them. "So, Eric what all did you tell them about our talk the other day?"

"He explained why his eyes are glowing, albeit briefly, but Eric let me look at his memories and share them with Luna so we know everything about the seal that he does." Asami states taking a bite of her scrambled eggs.

"I see your not the Steele Wolves secretary for nothing. But Eric, you trust her enough to do that?" My gramps asks concerned and I nod. "Okay, well like I'm sure he said his eyes changed last night when he became Gaia's Champion." The girls look at him before asking their questions.

"Who's Gaia? And what is a Champion?" Luna asks, stuffing some sausage in her mouth.

"You don't know?" Gramps asks.

"No, Luna lived in a secluded barrier until recently and I was raised as a maid **** to one of the Katorg guild members." Asami say, matter of factly.

"Sorry to hear that. Gaia is the goddess of life, you should know was that from his memories. A champion is a person a God or Goddess has chosen and given some of her power. Essentially Eric now has some of Gaia's powers in exchange for fighting the Demon God and Devils that were already hunting him."

"So Eric's fighting a God now? And the Devils who are much stronger than him?" Asami asks concerned.

"Hey, I'm not that weak." I tell her making her smile.

"No, she's right my boy. Compared to the Devils you might as well be a thorny vine that managed to poke them. The only reason, and I can't stress this enough, that you managed to harm the Golden Devil is because you caught it off guard. If you want to survive you need to get much stronger." My gramps says sternly.

"I know, the Golden one is bad enough but when the others jump in the ring it's going to be a nightmare." My response catches him off guard.

"You know the other Devils are coming? How?" He asks.

"Intuition, the Golden Devil said I was only the sixth or something person to hurt it, then I tore its arms off. Kallen or Kagiyama, I honestly can't remember, they've told me so much lately. Anyway one of them told me that there are other Devils and that they rarely work together. But I'm assuming that they'll group up to get rid of me. Plus they apparently need me to break their gods seal." I say before stuffing more eggs into my mouth.

"Good, you may yet survive this. Now do you have any plans today?" He says and Luna answers before I could.

"We're going shopping!" She cheers.

"What for?" My gramps asks and I answer patting Lunas head.

"She only has one dress I made using magic, but I'd like to get her more clothes." My gramps nods in agreement.

"By the way, did you use the Core I gave you yet?" He asks.

"Core? What Core?" I ask causing him to sigh.

"The small red gem I sent in the package." I think and remember it, taking it out of my inventory and Observing it.

Flame Core, Epic Augmenting Core

This small gem contains the power of Fire. Decorating armor with it will make it more resistant to fire. It will also add more magic to the armor increasing its stats.

"You didn't know what it was did you?" My gramps asks smugly.

"No." I sigh out and store it away for later. "Anyway why were you asking if I had any plans today?"

"I have something else to give you remember? But I need to see if your ready so we're going to fight."

"Huh?"

"You heard me. We're gonna fight."

"Okay..."

"Anyway." Asami says standing up. "I'll go start cleaning Lunas dress." I thank her and she starts walking down the hall but stops when gramps talks to her.

"So, how long do you think I'll take?"

"Um, about an hour or so, I'm not washing much so I'll be putting them on quick wash." She answers.

"Good, then we have enough time for our fight." He says turning to me. I sigh and stand.

"Let's get this over with." He smiles and pulls out a scroll and unrolls it.
