A Champion

I wake up back in my chair and jump up. I hear a shout and look to see Claire with a hand over her heart.

"Sorry Claire." I say and she waves me off.

"So you accepted it." I hear my gramps say coming out of the kitchen holding two cups.

"How'd you know?" I ask confused. My gramps takes out his phone and takes a picture of me and I sit back down. He texts it to me and I open it up. Looking at the picture I see my confused face, with glowing green eyes, just like Gaia's. "So this isn't something I can keep secret huh?" I ask and notice that the necklace is gone. "What happened to the necklace?"

"By becoming her champion her soul is in you. Normally you'd get a fraction of it as a link, but with her having no body she's moved her soul into you. This doesn't change how much power you get, it just means you won't be wearing a goddess around your neck." My gramps says. I nod and open my new notifications.

New Champion: Gaia

This is given to Gaia's Champion. It gives you part of the Goddesses power and all of the skills associated with it. Gives +3 to all stats and +50 max MP and HP. This is weakened by her not having a body, once she regains her powers you will get the full boost.

New Skill: Healing Ray Lvl 1

Healing Ray lets the caster heal the target from a distance. It creates a beam of light traveling in a straight line. Amount healed is determined by (INT × 0.15) + 15% of the targets max HP. MP Cost: 25

New Skill: Gaia's Embrace Lvl 1

This skill makes the caster emits a bright light in a 5 foot circle centered around the caster. All touched by the light are healed and increases their mana regen. Amount healed is equal to the casters Intelligence. MP Cost: 150

I read them and then remember my ring.

Gaia's Ring Lvl 35, Legendary

This ring has been blessed by the goddess of Life and Nature, Gaia herself. The ring is a green, leaf, color with a small green orb. The orb seems to be constantly flowing, the green inside ever shifting. Gives the wearer +100 max HP, +50 max MP and +10 HP an hour regen. Requirements: May only be worn by Gaia's champion.

I equip the ring and don't feel any pain. I smile and suddenly feel sleepy, nearly falling out of my chair.

"Oh yeah. Your gonna need a nap after that." My gramps says standing up. I try to get up but fall over. My gramps stands me up and walk me to my bedroom. "Don't worry, you'll get the second present tomorrow." He says as I lose consciousness.

"Good morning my boy." My gramps says wearing a pink apron as I walk into the kitchen. I do a double take, seeing my grandpa wearing a pink apron.

"Good morning." I say trying not to laugh.

"Yeah, yeah, I had to borrow Claire's. Anyway let's eat." He makes four plates and sets them on my coffee table. "Go get those beast girls. They can't stay cooped up in your Domain forever." I nod and enter my Domain. Looking around I don't see Asami or Luna. I check the bedroom and my workshop but don't see them. I walk out and look for them, and after a few minutes I find them. They're taking a bath in the spring. Walking up I hear them talking to each other.

"So Luna, what is it that first made you fall in love with Eric?" I hear Asami ask. While I should get there attention I'm curious as to her answer.

"Hmm, first it was his strength. I don't know how much he told, or showed you, but when we first meet we fought. When he beat me is when it started. When he said he wanted me as his reward I was confused. I liked that he wanted me but I had no idea who he was. After he became my Alpha, my love kept growing. I love how kind he is and how he always rubs my head. What about you Asami?" Luna says with a slight blush and smiling.

"W-well, it was mostly the same. I grew up in the Katorg's, well farm. Then Falvo came and chose me as his maid. I was taught to read and write and one of my favorite story books was one where a brave prince saves the princess from a dragon. I started wishing that a prince would come for me as I learned of the outside world. Then when I saw Eric slay Falvo I got so exited. I honestly thought of leaving, but my Stigma wouldn't let me. Then I though of running away but Eric was being so kind to me. Thanks to my Stigma I knew I could trust him." She's blushing now and Luna giggles.

"But what do you think of his strength?" Luna asks getting closer to her.

"Well, it's hot." She's whispering at the end and I barely hear her. "I-I mean I love how I know he can um, just take me." Asami's bright red now.

"I know, I love it when he wraps me up and I know that even if I resisted I couldn't escape. And his sent, its amazing." Luna says wistfully.

"God, it is. When we sleep at night I always nuzzle close to smell him." Asami adds smiling herself. It's at this point that I decide to interrupt up them. Not wanting them to know I was listening I quietly sneak away and notice a new notification.

Achievement Unlocked: Eavesdropper

You eavesdropped on someone, hope you don't do it again. Rewards: +3 INT, +3 WIS.

After reading it I shout their names and slowly walk towards them.

"Eric!" Luna says running at me, naked and dripping wet. I swap to my armor before she hugs me, not wanting to get my clothes wet. I start petting her and she sighs happily.

"What are you doing here? Not that I mind." Asami asks joining the hug.

"Well, my gramps knows you're here and made breakfast for you. Do you want to join us?" I ask, and the two nod before running back to the spring to dry off and get dressed. When they get back they notice my eyes.

"Eric, what happened to your eyes?" Asami asks, looking into them.

"Oh, yeah I became the Goddess of life's champion. It means I've grown stronger and gained some of her skills, sorta like my Soul-Link." Asami and Luna hug me again. It's now that I'm reminded of Lunas lack off clothes. "Luna, where's your dress?" I ask seeing her wearing my t-shirt again.

"Oh, it got dirty and I haven't been able to clean it. The washer and dryer is in your apartment." Asami says.

"Right, sorry. So Asami, do you think you can start washing it after breakfast? I'd like to get her some more clothes." I say and Asami nods. Luna runs up to me excitedly and starts wagging her tails.

"Really, we're going shopping today!?"

"Yes, but remember, you need to hide your ears and tails." I say sternly and she starts squealing with delight. "Anyway, let's go get some breakfast." They each nod and we return to my apartment.
