Breakin' Dishes
This chapter is written in 3rd Person POV
“Hey, sexy. No one with you tonight?” A muscular Italian looking guy, with slick black undercut hair and wearing a vest with a black wife-beater, asks Stella.
“Not in the mood tonight. Sorry.” Stella replies, unable to hide her irritation.
“Maybe I can get you in the mood, sweetheart. Your drinks look a little empty. I can—” the random guy asks before Stella cuts him off.
“I’ll say it with a single syllable so even an embodiment of Axe body spray like you can understand — NO.” Stella emphatically rejects him.
“Oh, come on baby girl.” The guy says before he grabs Stella by the wrist and pulls her onto him. “Dance with me. Don’t you like the music?” He adds.
“What part of ‘No’ don’t you understand?” Stella asks as she pushes him away, but the guy still has a hold of her wrist and just pulls her back onto him.
“No can mean yes. You have to be more clear, hot stuff.” The guy says with a wicked smile.
“What kind of Harvey Weinstein shit is that!?” Stella asks incredulously.
“HEY! Get your hands off her!?” Cassie shouts as she sees the scene in front of her.
“Cass!” Stella reacts, as she sees Cassie throw one of the drinks in her hand towards the guy harassing her.
“WOAH! HEY!” The guy shouts as he gets doused with an Appletini, as the music continues to blast.
I'm breaking dishes up in here
All night (Oh-oh)
“PSYCHO BITCH! WHAT THE FUCK!?” He shouts in anger, letting go of Stella’s wrist before aggressively making his way towards Cassie, and Cassie throws the other drink in her hand at the guy.
I ain't gon' stop until I see police and lights
“Just cuz’ you’re a hot girl don’t mean I won’t deck you for that.” The guy threatens.
“Bring it!” Cassie shouts back, her arms spread wide as a taunt.
‘I'm a fight a man tonight
I'm a fight a man tonight
I'm a fight a man’
The guy wasn’t lying with his statement and feints towards Cassie to make her flinch, but Stella takes it as an actual move to hurt her, so she grabs the guy's wrist to try and prevent him from moving. The guy pushes her off for her attempt, causing Stella to fall backwards on her butt. Stella hits the bar table, knocking it over and the glasses on top of it; causing a commotion with the other people that it almost hit. The DJ, finally noticing what’s happening, stops the music.
Cassie, in pure fury, gives the guy a hard slap in the face for pushing Stella to the ground. The guy is legitimately angry now too, and raises his arm to hit Cassie in retaliation. Thankfully, it’s caught midway by a muscular arm from behind him, preventing him from swinging on Cassie.
“Not cool, bro.” Chad tells the Italian guy.
“This bitch fucking slapped me in the face!” the Italian guy replies.
“Seems like you deserved it, Don Jon.” Courtney chimes in, as she helps pull Stella up.
“And who the fuck are you?” The Italian guy reacts to Courtney.
“Just walk away, bro.” Chad says calmly to not escalate the situation, while Stella stands next to Cassie to try and calm her down too.
“Cut the tough guy act, Chuck. We both know you won’t do shit.” the Italian guy tells Chad, not backing down.
“You’re right, bro. I won’t; but I’m pretty sure Brad would, after I tell him about this.” Chad replies, sounding like he conceded, but the latter sentence makes the Italian guy’s eyes widen.
“I-what? Why would I care about what Brad’s gonna fuckin’ do if I deck this bitch?” Italian guy stammers.
“Try me!” Cassie shouts, before Stella stands next to her and covers her mouth with her hand.
“Let Chad fuckin’ handle this, warfreak. You’d have a black eye from he-man woman-hater already, if Chad didn’t stop him.” Stella tells Cassie through gritted teeth.
“You see that? She’s even asking for it. Maybe she likes being roughed up.” The Italian guy adds with another wicked smile, this time towards Cassie.
“You lay a hand on her, your Pa’s gonna hear from Brad, bro. That’s an ass-kicking you can’t win.” Chad tells him, once again making the Italian guy obviously anxious.
“Why are you threatening him with that bullshit? Why not just threaten him with, I don’t know, THE COPS!?” Courtney asks incredulously, making the Italian guy glance at her, and finally raise his hands.
“Fine. Let these bitches act like bitches forever because you can’t deck ‘em when they talk shit. For what? Because they don’t have balls between their legs? Fuckin’ bullshit.” The Italian guy rants to Chad, before trying to walk away from the scene he caused. Chad stops him from doing so by putting a hand on his chest.
“I think you forgot to apologize, bro.” Chad points out to him. The Italian guy looks at Chad angrily, but concedes when he sees Chad give him a warning look.
“I’m sorry.” The Italian guy reluctantly apologizes to Stella. Cassie, still hot with anger, grabs another girl’s drink and splashes it on the Italian guy’s face.
“Cass!” Stella reacts, reprimanding Cassie with her tone. Courtney seems to find Cassie’s actions amusing and throws her own drink at the Italian guy.
“It’s just drinks, bro. It’ll wash off.” Chad tells the Italian guy, and the Italian guy pulls on the collar of his vest to try and get some of the moisture to air out, before purposely bumping into Chad on the shoulder as he walks away. In response, Chad grabs him by the shoulder from behind to stop him for just a moment.
“Hey. Why not take my gay bro’s advice, bro? Just tell your Pa. He might not like it, but at least you’ll be—” Chad tries to advise him but the Italian guy cuts him off.
“I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.” The Italian guy interrupts Chad, before shirking his shoulder to get Chad’s hand off of it and walking away towards the exit.
“Yeah! You better run!” Cassie shouts, acting tough, and forcing Stella to once again cover Cassie’s mouth with her hand.
“Okay! Nothing to see here folks! Show’s over!” Courtney shouts to the crowd to get them to disperse.
“Hey, DJ! Where’s the music? Let the people party, bro!” Chad adds enthusiastically, and the DJ starts the music up again to help get the crowd to slowly go back to whatever it was they were doing before the fight started.
“What is it with your group and fights? First it was the Asian chick, now—” Courtney asks Stella and Cassie, but is completely ignored by both.
“We should go before the bouncers kick us out of here.” Stella tells Cassie.
“Don’t worry about it. Brad owns the club.” Chad explains.
“Co-owns the club. He only owns it enough to get us inside, but not enough to comp our drinks.” Courtney clarifies. “Fuckin’ cheapskate.” Courtney adds under her breath.
“You know that asshole, Chad?” Cassie asks him aggressively.
“Hey now, Brad’s not an asshole.” Chad goes on Brad’s defense, misunderstanding who Cassie was referring to.
“They meant the guy you just talked to!” Courtney corrects Chad.
“Oh! Yeah. He was a member at the gym. One of our first members actually, and-uh… he was my former Love Coach.” Chad answers Cassie.
“That guy’s going to Brooke’s gym!?” Cassie reacts angrily.
“Can you please stop calling random dudes your Love Coach?” Courtney tells Chad.
“If you say so, babe.” Chad answers Courtney first, completely forgetting Cassie’s question. “Oh! That reminds me! Is—” Chad starts to say before Stella cuts him off.
“Chad.” Stella says to grab his attention. “We need to know if that guy still goes to the gym. Otherwise, we might bring another fight there unintentionally.” Stella tells Chad.
“Your group sure likes to attract drama, doesn’t it?” Courtney observes, before Chad could answer.
“No cap, babe. That’s why I stopped being jealous of Jay. I don’t even want to imagine having to worry about them all syncing up. Like… bro. That would suck. BUT! What if they don’t sync up though? That’d be worse, right babe? Every week a different girlfriend is triggered with something you do, so you can’t escape one of your girlfriends getting—” Chad starts to ramble after replying to Courtney.
“CHAD! Is that loser still a member at the gym?” Stella shouting reminds Chad of her question.
“Nah. He left the gym a while ago. He broke up with my gay bro after gay bro fully came out of the closet. Brad was telling him to do the same so they don’t have to hide anymore, but that guy’s Pa ain’t exactly woke like us.” Chad explains. Stella lets out a sigh of relief, but Cassie’s still hot from the encounter.
“Then why harass Stella if he’s gay!?” Cassie asks Chad, who shrugs in response.
“Oh, that macho bullshit was definitely to overcompensate for something. Now we know what for.” Courtney points out.
“UGGGH! That’s so stupid! He’s lucky I didn’t kick him in the balls for what—” Cassie starts acting aggressive again, and Stella finally calls her out on it.
“Cass! Enough!” Stella shouts. “What’s with you!? Okay! Don’t answer that! I know exactly what’s going on with you, and I know that’s why you’re lashing out; but you’re going overboard, Cass. It’s why I told you we should have just chilled at home!” Stella tells her.
“That guy’s sob story doesn’t excuse him for harassing you! What happened to ‘talk shit, get hit’, huh?” Cassie shouts back.
“Can you stop this? Please? I know we’re on a date, but you don’t have to suddenly act all macho like you’re my protector or something.” Stella tells her.
“Oh! Excuse me for having my date’s back!” Cassie fires back.
“You ALWAYS have my back. Whether I’m your date or not. So I know what that looks and feels like. This ain’t it, Cass.” Stella points out, finally getting Cassie to visibly acknowledge what Stella’s saying.
“I-I’m sorry, Stella.” Cassie says in apology. “You’re right. My mind is all over the place. We shouldn’t have gone out tonight.” Cassie concedes.
“Oh, that’s complete bullshit. Having a lot on your mind is exactly why you should be out partying.” Courtney suddenly chimes in. “Fuck those problems and party like it’s 1999.” Courtney adds.
“Actually, you girls want to party with us tonight? We can do a five-ple date.” Chad suggests.
“It’s still just a double date, Chad.” Courtney corrects him, rolling her eyes as she does.
“Is it still a double date even when there’s five of us?” Chad asks.
“The count is for the number of relationships, not the number of people.” Courtney explains.
“Oh~. You’re so smart, babe.” Chad compliments her, and Courtney flips her hair and rolls her eyes in a smug way, before saying ‘Obviously.’ under her breath.
Cassie then looks at Stella, signaling to Stella that it’s up to her to decide whether they should join Chad and Courtney on a double date; but Stella just shrugs, not giving Cassie a definitive answer.
“Um… yeah. I-uh… I mean... Okay. We’d love to join you guys.” Cassie tells Courtney and Chad.
“So, where’s the Love Coach?”
