Work day

Unfortunately, everyone has to go to work, despite the teasing at the breakfast table. You give all the girls a kiss before you leave, and Kenna makes sure hers is extra thorough. When you finally escape the dragon girl’s grip, she grins at you.

“Just giving you something to remember for today!”

The others laugh, and you roll your eyes. “After last night, I doubt I’ll be forgetting. Have a good day at work, ladies. I’ll probably drop in after my shift.”

They all wave as you head out the door. When you get to the worksite, you find Dave waiting at the gate, an amused look on his face. He gives a you a playful punch on the shoulder as you walk up.

“Hey Brian. So, how did your grand opening go?”

You chuckle. “Pretty great, actually! I think it’s going to be a big hit. Not that I have much to do with it.”

Dave nods as the two of you walk to your work area. “Yeah, Dakota and Mazzy, I know. How are the girls, anyway? We haven’t had a chance to get together lately.”

You grin. “Yeah…so, I have some news.”

Dave looks at you questioningly. “Ok? You’re smiling, so…wait, did you pick up ANOTHER girl?”

You laugh. “More like she picked me up. Literally. Yeah, a dragon girl named Kenna.”

Dave punches you on the arm again. “Damn, man! I didn’t know you were such a suave bastard!”

You shake your head, still laughing. “Hardly. Honestly, the girls run things now, I’m just along for the ride. The whole thing was their plan. Not that I’m complaining!”

Dave nods. “No, I get it. Lisa and Katie basically run things too. Honestly, I prefer it, let the smart ones handle things!”

You both laugh at that one. You grin and give Dave a shove. “So, when are you guys adding another to your family? Make me feel less like a deviant!”

Dave shrugs. “Like I said, not up to me! The girls make the decisions for me now, and I like it that way. Go bug Lisa and Katie about it.”

You chuckle. “Maybe I will. You guys should come visit the cafe!”

Dave grins. “Already plan on it. Actually, some of the boys are talking about going after our shift. You down to come with?”

You nod. “Of course! I was going to go anyway, after work. Just don’t cause trouble!”

Dave laughs, rolling his eyes. “C’mon, you know me!”

You chuckle. “I do, that’s why I’m mentioning it!”
