A Plan

"Well!? What have you done with Falvo!" Barry shouts at Myla and Hino. He raises his staff and I act without thinking. I send in my Spectral Owl and start talking through it.

"Why do you seek Falvo!" I shout as confidently as I can through it. I see Barry stare at it shocked and hear the golden guy chuckle. "Well. Why do you!" I have the owl hover in the air between the two groups.

"What business is it to you!" Barry shouts back. I see Myla and Hino walk closer and Myla appears to be healing Hino's arm.

"Now, now calm down. This owl can only be summoned by advanced summoners, lets hear them out. Besides they clearly know Falvo more than these two." The golden one states matter of factly

"Fine. Falvo is not only one of my most promising subordinates but also a close friend of mine. He's been missing for a few days after reporting he found a Silver Garden spy in our midst. I suspect they had something to do with his disappearance. Now tell me what you know about him!" I see the golden one sigh and shake his head.

"Tell me, this Falvo doesn't happen to be a blood mage and have a group of Pixies with him?" I ask trying to buy time to slowly move into position.

"So you do know him." The golden guy says stepping toward my owl. "Well, where is he?"

"No idea, last I saw him he was missing his lower half and covered in burns. So I'd say hell." My words are followed by silence before Barry shouts out in rage and anger. The golden one raises his head to my owl before talking.

"Now... why would you do that? Your trapped in here with us and now... well were gonna have to kill you." This is the first time I detected any emotion in his voice. It sounded like the golden one was happy, but not that I killed Falvo, that he gets to kill me. I decide to answer his question having gotten into position.

"Why? That's simple really, I no longer need to buy time." As soon as I say this I release the owl creating a bright, but not blinding light. It works enough and draws the golden guys attention. I jump down from the ceiling. I used the dagger I made in class along with Stealth and Beastial Strength to climb the wall. I land in the Golden guy putting all my weight into my Flare, Thunder, and Air Cutter enhanced blade adding 39 damage and land piercing his left shoulder, burying my blade halfway into him.

I hear him cry out in pain and push my advantage, not knowing his max health.

I back off not wanting to risk it while Multicasting Flare at him.

I smile seeing him drop to a knee in pain. I Multicast Flare again but a wall of liquid gold appears from the ground blocking it.

"I'm impressed... your only the sixth person to harm me like this! Tell me what is your name!" The golden wall drops and I see the golden guy standing holding his injured shoulder.

"Its Eric, Eric Steele." I say reading my blade and legs to block or dodge any sudden gold attacks.

"Well Eric Steele I will remember that name. But for now we must depart. Some uninvited guests just crashed the party." He steps toward Barry and the two are engulfed in liquid gold just as a bright light and ball of water crash into it. When they disperse the gold is gone. I turn to look at where they came from when a I see a ball of water crash into me followed by darkness.
