A Man Living Alone

I've been living alone for several weeks after my girlfriend left me. Our apartment was a one bedroom, 1 living room, and 1 kitchen apartment in a not to shabby apartment building. I was located on the third floor and had fallen asleep after work and because the next day I had off I chose not to set my alarm.

I am woken up when the sun had been up for a bit by a announcement from the emergency system informing everyone to "please stay in your home until further notice, lock the doors, and above all avoid all contact with other humans related or other wise. Shortly after I receive a few texts from friends asking if I'm ok, I respond yes and ask them what's going on they send me a link to a news program.
