A little while later, you’re relaxing on the couch with Ellie, watching some television. The little goblin is snuggled against you, and you’re gently stroking her hair. Ellie is practically purring, her eyes half closed. Mazzy, meanwhile, is in the kitchen, and you can hear her humming happily as she works on dinner.

Just then, there’s a knock at the door. Before you can respond, Mazzy is off like a shot. “That’s Dakota!”

You chuckle, letting her get the door. You hear Dakota and Mazzy talking excitedly, and beside you Ellie sits up, looking a bit nervous again. You smile and pat her leg reassuringly, and she gives you a small smile. The two of you get off the couch just as Dakota and Mazzy come into the room.

Dakota catches sight of Ellie immediately, and gasps. “Oh! You’re so cute! Mazzy was right!”

Ellie blushes and looks at her feet, not saying anything. Mazzy giggles and comes to her friend’s rescue. “She’s still pretty shy, especially around humans. Well, except Brian, she warmed up to him already!”

Ellie blushes even more, and Dakota laughs, looking at you. “Well well, aren’t you just the suavest? I leave you alone for a day, and you pick up a cute goblin lady?”

You roll your eyes. “It’s not like that, and you know it!”

Dakota winks. “Sure it isn’t. Mazzy tells me everything, you know…”

You look at the grinning halfling. “Oh she does, does she?”

Mazzy nods. “Of course! Gotta keep your girlfriend informed, right?”

Ellie looks at Dakota. “H-how much did she t-tell you?”

Dakota smiles warmly at Ellie. “She’s told me how much we both like our daddy…”

You groan, and Ellie blushes. Dakota grins at you. “Hey, don’t act like you aren’t into that! Did you convince Mazzy to do it yet?”

Mazzy shakes her head. “I tried, it’s not my thing. It’s hot when you two do it, though!”

Dakota laughs. “Damn right it is! Now we just need a big, strong mommy…”

You chuckle. “Not happening. With these two and possibly you, this house will be crowded enough!”

Dakota smiles and bats her eyes at you. “Aww, already planning on moving me in?”

Ellie looks at you, concerned. “I w-won’t need to give up the bed, w-will I?”

You shake your head. “Don’t worry, Ellie. You will always have a bed.”

Her amber eyes widen. “Oh! C-can I just sleep with y-you? I p-promise I wouldn’t take much room…”

Mazzy bounces over and hugs the goblin. “Of course you can! You can sleep between me and Brian! It’ll be an Ellie sandwich, hehe!”

Ellie blushes, but you see her hide a smile by looking down. Chuckling, you look at Dakota. “This is getting a little ahead of things anyway. I doubt Dakota is ready to move in just yet.”

Dakota nods. “That’s true, but it does sound pretty appealing. Not only do I get a sexy daddy, but also two little cuties like Mazzy and Ellie? Sounds like a great time to me!”

You laugh. “Why do I get the feeling that I don’t make the decisions around here anymore?”

Mazzy winks at you. “I told you, I’m in charge now! And you’re stuck with us, so you’d better be happy!”

You smile, bending down to kiss the smiling halfling. “Never been happier.”

Mazzy sighs happily. “Good! Now, dinner should be ready, so let’s go eat!”

As you all head to the dining room, Dakota stops you. “In all seriousness, Brian, you’ve got a great little…family, here. I’m not ready to jump in with both feet just yet, but…I don’t know, it’s really tempting. I know we just started dating, but I see how happy Mazzy is, and I want that. And now Ellie, she adores you already.”

You smile. “I’m not going anywhere, Dakota. I like you a lot, and I’m glad you feel the same. It’s not like we have a ton of space here anyway. Mazzy and Ellie are tiny, so we get away with it, but I can’t really afford to build an expansion or anything.”

Dakota nods. “I actually have an idea about that! I’ll tell you over dinner. Mazzy and Ellie should hear it, they’re part of it.”

You chuckle. “Something you haven’t already told Mazzy? I’m surprised!”

Dakota laughs. “Yeah, sure. Look, I’ll admit, a big reason I’m into you is because of her too! So don’t be a smartass, daddy.”

You smile. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist. How about we go have dinner, and you can tell us all about it?”

Dakota kisses your cheek. “Good plan. And I still think we need a big strong mommy.”

You laugh, rolling your eyes. “How about we figure out what the three of us are doing, before you start building a bigger family.”

Dakota shrugs. “Just keep it in mind!”
