Affection and happiness

You notice a small change in Ellie that afternoon. Though she’s still very quiet and shy, she’s noticeably happier, and she seems to want to follow you everywhere. It’s actually pretty cute, and you make sure to give her a kiss when you can. Every time, she blushes, smiles, and quietly says “Thank you.”

You manage to corner Mazzy to ask her about this, and the little halfling laughs. “I’d say you made a big impression on her!”

You roll your eyes, and Mazzy gets serious for once. “I’m not joking, Brian. Well, I am a little, but in all honesty, Ellie adores you already.”

You shake your head. “It seems so fast, is all. I know the bonding does that, but still…”

Mazzy frowns. “I don’t think you understand. Goblins are abused horribly in the old world. Especially by humans. You’re probably the first human to treat her this way in her life.”

She smiles. “A few good words from me helped, but the way you’ve treated her has won her over completely. The gentleness, listening to her, taking her to get nice clothes.”

You shrug. “I just wanted to treat her well. She’s a wonderful girl.”

Mazzy smiles. “And then, when she rewarded you for your kindness and affection, what do you do? You give her pleasure instead of just jumping on her!”

You blush. “I wanted her to feel good.”

Mazzy nods. “You’re very special, Brian. Ellie isn’t dumb, just inexperienced. And she already trusts that you won’t hurt her.”

“I wouldn’t! I may have only just met her, but I can already tell that Ellie deserves protection and affection.”

Mazzy giggles. “She has her hooks in you already! But seriously, you know you’re something special, right? Many humans wouldn’t have the same reactions. Like Ellie said, we saw girls who had to be saved from abusive sponsors. The worst part, they tell us, is the loss of trust. We put a lot of trust in you, and I’m thankful every day that you’re the one we’re with.”

You bend down to kiss Mazzy, and she throws her arms around you. When she lets go, her smile is wide. “I love you, and soon Ellie will too. I can’t speak for Dakota, but she likes you a lot.”

You chuckle. “I’ll try to live up to your expectations.”

Mazzy giggles. “I know you will, daddy!”

You laugh, and Mazzy makes a sour face. “Nope! Sorry, Brian, not for me. Guess you’ll have to live with only two girls who call you that!”

You chuckle. “I’ll live. I think I’m happy with anything, as long as it’s from you.”

Mazzy is about to answer when her phone pings. Checking it, she grins. “Ooh, Dakota’s on her way! I hope you’re ready for a crazy night!”

You laugh. “You always have plans, don’t you…”

Mazzy winks at you.
