Distracted as ever

Your mind is spinning, thinking about all of the possibilities with Amy still. In the past 12 hours, your relationship with her had completely changed, and all because of this thing called a "Love Score" appeared on her profile. You had to wonder, was she behaving differently, or were you just overthinking everything because of this new revelation?

"Oh, there goes Summer again", Amy said. "You gonna go talk to her?"

"Again, Amy, as I said earlier, I'm not interested in her", you responded. "Plus, you still have my jacket, so I'm a little bit obligated to stay near you so you don't try and take it for yourself".

You weren't really sure why Amy was trying to push you to try and get with Summer. It could be her legitimately believing that you and Summer would get along well.

That couldn't be it, though, given her scores. If what the AMA said was true, her score was over halfway to where most people start dating. You had never had much experience in the dating pool (that meaning none at all), but from your observations, people who wanted to date others wouldn't want them to start seeing another person.

"I'm serious! Look, if your jacket is such a big deal, then I can take it off and you can go sit with her", she said with an eye-roll.

"Yeah, and then you can walk back to your dorm in the cold rain with a T-shirt on that's nearly transparent," you retort, answering her eye-roll with one of your own.

"Well then why don't we invite her to sit with us over here?" she asks.

"Why would you do that?", you say, incredulously, "You've never even talked to her!"

"Yeah, but you have," she responds. "Then you two can talk and I can sit with you guys so you don't lose track of your precious jacket".

"Amy, we're not going to do that. Okay, you're going to sit here with me, we're not going to talk about my pursuit, or lack thereof, of other girls, and we're going to have a nice supper."

"Fine, fine. You know this makes it look even more suspicious that you like her, though".

What was up with this woman?

Luckily, it seems that the AMA was throwing you a bone here. A notification popped up on your screen that said "Would you like a Helping Hand? These are little items that you can obtain whenever you're stuck in a tricky situation with a person. This trait is locked behind an achievement, but you can have a trial one for free now!"

You were already saving up your little points, maybe that would be something you'd want to buy later. "What the heck, why not?" you thought, clicking YES on your phone screen.

What followed was the AMA just opening up Amy's profile. You did see some score changes:

Affection Score: 150 (MAX!)

Love Score: 39 (+8)

Lust Score: 9 (+4)

However, beside those two scores were short little blurbs that explained the increase. Beside the love score, it said "Amy is happy that you are continuing to choose her over another girl". Beside the lust score, it said "Amy is thinking about her, you, and Summer all together".

Well that was certainly interesting.

The AMA didn't stop there, though. There was an additional little blurb added near the bottom of the screen, off of her profile, which said "Amy is continuing to ask you about Summer in the hopes that you will say no, which causes her to feel loved, since you are choosing her first. Additionally, asking you about Summer gets her mind thinking about possibly sharing you between the two of them".

It seems that the "Helping Hand" trait might be something you really want to work towards, especially if it was going to give you information like this. You could've never guessed something like that with your limited knowledge of how women's minds work.
