Blind Fight

The fight starts with the Leather Wings letting out a terrifying screech that disorients the party. Still Isalia and Cherchiel manage to turn back the first attack with their shields, Isalia even managing to counter attack and slice one of them before it retreats. Isalia and Goma do their best to keep Yulia and Cherchiel aware of the enemies positions, they aren't perfect of course and they have to be fairly quiet so as not to make the fight worse, but it does mitigate the Leather Wing's Advantage somewhat.

Yulia holds her rapier and focuses on using her staff to cast Energize on Isalia and Goma as Goma and Yulia take up position behind Cherchiel and Isalia with their backs against the wall of the cave. Cherchiel stows her spear as well, using her shield to push back and bash the leather wings when they attempt to dive. Goma makes use of her size and speed to move around Cherchiel and Isalia, cutting at the Leather Wings after they dive, before diving back behind them to be protected from the next strike.

The Leather wings mercifully aren't very smart and make no attempt to change their own tactics and just keep trying to break through the wall of Isalia and Cherchiel to no effect. It's a slow and tense combat, but soon the Leather Wings are slain. One killed with a lucky strike from Isalia, the other two eventually succumbing to the multiple bleeding wounds inflicted on them by Goma. The four women remain in position for a bit waiting to see if any of the other Leather Wings will react, but after a bit it seems like they're in the clear. The group loot the corpses, including taking the creature's wings and then carefully, but quickly make their way out of Air Fortis and back into the Wild Deep Entrance Area. They each breath a sigh of relief as they no longer hear the screeching echoing off the walls and the flapping of wings.

"I do not like fighting enemies I can't see... That definitely would have been much worse without you and Goma," Yulia says to Isalia and Isalia nods.

"I'm glad I could be helpful," Isalia responds.

"I feel like my spear would have been quite useful actually, but it all worked out in the end and I've learned to trust the voices," Cherchiel states with a shrug.

"Oh uh... The... voices... they said something about, me joining you? Is that an option?" Isalia asks and Yulia looks over at her.

"Oh yeah. I mean I'm not against having another companion along for the ride. We'll be leaving the Deep after this presumably, I can't promise you'll ever be able to return home, honestly, but there will definitely be more traps ahead and while they won't be set by Knocker I imagine, your expertise at traps will definitely come in handy in the future," Yulia offers. Isalia looks thoughtful.

"I'll... think about it," she says finally.

"Alright, take your time, I don't think we'll be leaving just yet. In fact... where to next?" she asks, turning her attention to the cavern roof, seemingly intending to pose this question to the voices.
