Looking for a way round.

A week later having started out making great time the journey is hitting sang after snag, some towns are locked up tight with barricades and defences that boggle the mind for why they built it or even how as a lot are like things out of the movies. This you had expected so detours had been planned for and were made off the main roads and highways, what you had not expected was for many smaller roads to be unusable due to clearly none military road blocks been put in place by locals, a few had resulted in a arguments with the locals who had set them up and in one case a fire fight that had been caused by bandits who tried to rob you and got one hell of a shock.

Even worse is at least one major bridge has been destroyed along with a number of smaller ones and so the group is having to pull into a rest area for the day to plan a new route and get some rest. Sitting in Dava's RV going over every scrap of information the group has you see a huge problem ahead, " far as I can see it we have two choices and both have issues that we cannot solve by looking over the info agreed". Dava, Paige and Holly all agree on what you are saying as they too look over the information, Holly points to the route on the map she likes the best, " this is a good one nobody travels it unless it is hunting season, no towns or other major places that would have a need to block the roads and it connects to the highway here in only another three hundred miles".

Nodding it is a good choice only problem is Paige cannot get a single image of the route up right now so you would be going in blind, Dava is more for a route you can see and points to that one. " I agree it sounds good but this route we know what to expect for most of it and we can get updates almost constantly on the way, only problem is this little area might be tricky in getting past as the town here seems to be in control of the whole road".

In the end you come to a compromise, " ladies we need to know more and as of this point we have a clear problem with this towns road block on one route and not a clue on the other but logic says nothing should be there as nothing is out there. So I say we recon both someone takes the Draco and heads to the town road block and finds out what it is, someone else takes an SUV and heads down the other route to see how clear it is as the distance is so close to not matter on that front".

Nodding most agree but Dava points out the only issue, " it means depending on what we find staying here over night as it is a couple hours round trip if its clear for both routes no way we can find out what is going on and make it back to the group in time to make any progress". Everyone looks over the map and makes various noises until Paige pipes up, " only real question is who do we send and on what route as on one we can keep tabs and if it goes pear shaped we have a much higher chance of getting to them to help or warn then in some way, the other is going to be nothing but simple coms the whole way". Of course everyone looks at you on that note and you can already tell which route they think you should be taking, holding up your hands you just say ok I got the no coverage route.

Making the arrangements you are taking the hunting season route and Gabriella is taking the other route with Dava and the others staying behind at this rest stop as it is clear and nothing or anybody is around for miles. Not sticking to the speed limit what so ever you head off to see what is on this route and for the first hour and sixty odd miles later nothing is in the way and looking good only another hour you think and you should hit the highway when something catches your eye.
