With the planning finished, the preparation has finally started. For the song, Kotori opted to just use the cafe’s maid outfit. On top of that, the stage will simply just be the terrace of the cafe.

“Will it be enough to gain votes from the fans, though?” Maki asked. Her question is a very good one. A simple set-up might be counterintuitive if you want to attract attention, but at the same time…

“I believe it will. The people from the cafe will help us in promoting the song and to compensate… we will be promoting theirs!”

“Huh? How?”

“μ’s will work as maids for the week leading up to the concert!”

Kotori received spontaneous exclaim from the girls. Some showed their embarrassment, disagreement, and some got quite excited.

I do think having a simpler set-up like this will make them stand out quite well. It’s so different that you can’t help but to look its way. Having the girls work as maids will also be a nice way of showing their dedication and also to make them stand out from the rest of the groups.

“Ah, the producer has a strange expression!” Rin called out to me. I gained quite a few glares from the rest.

“Geez, are you thinking about our maid outfits? We just wore them last concert, you know?” Honoka teased me by poking my cheeks a couple of times. “Give me a break…”

And so, began the preparation.

Kotori was in charge of writing the song lyrics alongside Umi. Thanks to the costume being just a simple maid outfit, Kotori doesn’t have to work much and thus is able to help Umi in the lyrics department.

In the week before the concert, μ’s worked as the maids for the cafe. They don’t take a lot of time in training, therefore they get to work quickly. Of course, I helped in the cafe in the kitchen. I actually learned a lot on the current trendy cuisine.

At first, only some regulars came to the cafe and eventually left as fans of the girls. Little by little, a lot of μ’s fans came as well. Increasing the customer volume by around 4x compared to the previous week.

At the same time, news spread of μ’s working at the cafe and a lot of people, idol fans, came to see. Of course, using this chance, they promoted their next single and concert that they’re doing next week.

The concert itself will be an acoustic concert. Not a lot of dancing, mostly having songs that use acoustic instruments. The publicity they gained is quite impressive. μ’s even got covered in the Love Live website itself.

The week passed by quickly and the concert commenced.
