Morgana's Persona

"Oh well, I guess we just gotta follow it." said Sakamoto.

Morgana took us back to the drawbridge with the Kamoshida statue.

"What're you doing?" asked Sakamoto.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" asked Morgana. "I'm lowering the bridge. You, Frizzy Hair, it seems you pick up on things faster than our Blondie over here. Try checking around the mouth of this statue, okay?"

I pulled down on the statue's mouth, causing the drawbridge to fall.

"How were we supposed to know to do that!?" asked Sakamoto.

"Hmph, amateur," said Morgana. "Come on, let's keep going!"

We ran across the drawbridge and into more knights.

"Aah, Shit, it's them!" said Sakamoto.

"Dammit!" I growled. "This fucking figures!"

My magician clothes had suddenly returned.

"Get back! I'll take care of this," I ordered.

"You amateur!" said Morgana, as he hoped to my side. "You can fight, right? Let's go!"

A cyclone of blue flame came from Morgana as blue flames swirled around him and into the sky.

The blue flames died down an I saw a beefy swordsman towering behind Morgana, wearing a black suit, hat and cape and a silver belt with the letter "Z" on the buckle, and wielding a rapier.

"You got one of those things too!?" said Sakamoto.

Two of the soldiers exploded into another pumpkin demon and an impish monster with a devilish design that had a spike protruding from it's pelvic region.

"Does that thing have a giant...?" I trailed off as I saw the monster.

"Hmph, we will promptly shut them up!" said Morgana. "Damn shadows, they've taken up intercept positions! Looks like it's not about capturing us anymore. They're out for blood! I'll back you up, so fight like your life depends on it! Let's go!"

The pumpkin went flying at me.

"Arsene, let's go!" I said, summing Arsene.

Arsene grabbed the pumpkin demon's head and threw it into a wall. However despite this, the pumpkin was fine.

"Hmph, I knew you were an amateur." said Morgana. "This is how you fight! Zorro, show him how it's done!"

The pumpkin demon shot flames at Zorro. Zorro waved it's rapier in front of him in a "Z" like pattern and from it, intense winds that blew out the fireballs.

Zorro then released another gust of wind, surrounding the pumpkin demon, fanning out it's flames. The pumpkin demon dropped dead.

"Strike at an enemy's weakness to knock them down!" he said. "Use that opening to strike again! That's the most basic of basics! Remember it well! C'mon, let's hurry and get through this!"

"This bedside brute is mine!" I said. "Eiha!"

Arsene fired his energy ball into the pelvic spiked thingy, killing it.

"Not bad," said Morgana. "Your Persona's pretty powerful."

"Persona? Y'mean that thing that comes outta you guys all dramatic like?" Sakamoto asked as he walked up to us now that the fight was over.

"Yes, you saw how Frizzy Hair here ripped off his mask when he summoned it, right?"

As much as I wanted to know about the nature of my powers, this was not the right time or place to have this discussion. We could be ambushed again at any moment. It was only a moment later that my body burst into blue flames, turning my new clothes back in my uniform and my mask back into my glasses.

"Huh?" said Sakamoto. "He turned back to normal."

I looked at Sakamoto with a raised eyebrow. Did he need to point out the obvious?

"Hm, it looks like you don't have full control over your power yet." said Morgana. "The transformation shouldn't normally dissolve like that. After all-"

"That's enough! This crap doesn't make any sense!" Sakamoto exclaimed in frustration.

"Can't you just sit and listen for once, Blondie!?"

"Don't call me Blondie! My name's Ryugi."

"Actually, there's no time for me to lecture you! You wanna escape this place in one piece, right? Let's go! Oh but before that, take these. Use them carefully, okay? Come on, we should hurry. It's not much farther to the exit. Be careful, okay? There's still a chance, we'll end up having to fight here."
