Somewhere interesting, with someone interesting

You follow Dugtrio as best you can, though there isn’t exactly any path he follows. You end up running through bushes and between trees, getting your lab coat snagged quite a few times. Fortunately, he seems to have some idea of how closely you’re following him, so he waits up just long enough that you don’t lose sight of him entirely.

Eventually, you’re led to an entryway that’s been carved into the side of a mountain. Wait… he took you all the way to the mountains? You couldn’t really see where you were going in the forest, but you’ve wound up pretty far off from the beaten path. Still, if someone were doing something shady, this would be a good place to hide it. There’s no reason for anyone to come back here. In fact, you’re surprised Dugtrio was able to find it so specifically. You’d hoped he knew a general direction, but knowing the exact location is a lot more convenient.

You don’t wait for an invitation to step inside and figure out what’s going on. Worst case scenario, it’s some abandoned mining operation, and you can leave after you’ve confirmed that Emilia isn’t here. But your gut tells you that’s not what you’ll find. Dugtrio didn’t lead you here for no reason, and it’s no coincidence that this place exists so close to a town where young girls have been getting ****. Emilia is definitely here.

You walk down a single, long hallway for about a minute, Dugtrio shuffling ahead of you and thankfully moving at a reasonable pace. Torches line the walls, assuring you that this place is still very much in use, whatever it is. Soon, you reach a small room with a staircase at the other end, leading underground. Hmm, if their operation is underground, maybe that explains how Dugtrio was able to identify it. More interesting, though, is the kid sitting on a chair in the corner. He barely looks legal, yet he’s wearing a Team Rocket uniform. Caught up in crime already, at his age? What a loser. But if Team Rocket is operating this close to Rifure Town, that’s definitely a problem. Now you’re thoroughly convinced that this is where they took Emilia.

“Hey,” you bark.

The boy seems to snap out of his inattentive stupor, and the first words out of his mouth are, “Aww man, of course someone would show up while I’m on guard duty.”

He stands up and draws a walkie-talkie from his hip, but you’re quicker to act. You slap the device from his hand, making it clang against the ground before he can say a word.

“What is this place? What’s going on here?” you demand. You grip the boy’s shirt and press him against the wall. He’s not as short as Emilia, but still shorter than the average woman. With your heels, you’ve easily got several inches on him. He’s not strong either. You could probably beat him into the dirt if you had to.

“Ch-Chill out, lady!” the boy sputters. “You’re a pokemon trainer, right!? You’re supposed to settle things with pokemon battles, not ****!”

A pokemon battle, huh? That does sound like less work than breaking his arm. Besides, as a physician, you’d probably just see him in your clinic tomorrow… “Fine. But just so you know, even if you win, I’ll just rough you up until you tell me what I know anyway.”

“Th-That’s not very respectable. Trainers are supposed to offer a forfeit to the winner. I’d only ask to touch those big b-”

You cut off his delusions of grandeur. “Not happening. Besides, they may be big, but they’re nothing compared to the girl who came through here earlier today.”

Bluff Check: Passed!

“Yeah that’s true, her knockers were freaking big! Especially with how short she was. But yours are still big, and you’ve got that mature look going on with the glasses. So don’t sell yourself short! I definitely want to-”

“So she did come through here.” You narrow your eyes. “I’ll have you tell me everything you know, even if I have to knock you senseless.”

“I-Is there even an outcome where you don’t beat me up!?”

“Probably not.”
