Chapter 8
by
Corruption
How do you make your offer?
To everyone
You stand on a bench and whistle loudly and shrilly, making everyone shut up. They all turned to you, and knew if you did not have a reason for doing that, you will probably be the first XP some noob gained!
Looking at them, you got down to business
“My name is Garion, and I used to be a trainer in old tutorial they had before they shut it down long ago. I am offering to teach a small group of beginners, preferably a Party, all the tricks I know, and how to avoid mistakes that others make. I reserve the right to refuse to mentor anyone for any reason I consider fit.
“Any questions?”
A Whale came over to him and drew a dagger. “Why shouldn’t I just kill you for the XP?”
You smiled evilly. “Anyone here care to tell him the formula for determining XP gained from a one on one kill?”
Someone called out:
“(Their Level – Your Level)x10 + 100”
You grin. “I meant the full formula, not just part of it?”
“That is the full formula we are given.”
“Then either the Gods are holding part back, or they don’t like you as much as you think. Now, if someone was to do the math for the level 31 Barbarian, and tell us what he would get?”
There was some thinking and someone weakly said “-200XP.”
The gasps of shock were pleasing to you, and the Whale retreats. Someone called out “But we don’t lose XP except when we die!”
Laughing you replied, “Then you did not receive the full formula. What did they keep hidden?”
A high level Fighter frowns and asks you “You mentioned mistakes others make. Can you give us some examples?”
Looking over the crowd slowly you reply
