Marriage License

Miranda raised an eyebrow at the piece of paper that Jack held up, the shorter woman having a look of shock and terror on her face. The taller woman merely took the paper from her hands as she began to read it. As her eyes skimmed the paper, they widened in horror as she recognized what this paper was.

It was a marriage license... And it was signed "Mrs. and Mrs. Miranda and Jack Lawson"!

Looking back towards Jack again, Miranda saw Jack's eyes practically bulge out of her head as she stared forward. Miranda looked in that direction and almost choked as she saw a photo hanging on the wall by a thumbtack.

Said photo was of Miranda and Jack, both obviously drunk, standing outside of a building that read "Quickie I Do's!", with a subheading underneath that read, "The fastest, most authentic and most permanent weddings this side of the galaxy!". In the photo, Jack was holding Miranda bridal style as Miranda licked her cheek and played with one of Jack's breasts. The camera flash reflected back at the camera taking the picture off of two, solid gold wedding bands on each woman's finger.

The very same wedding bands that both Jack and Miranda noticed were on there hands before turning to each other in horror. It was obvious that both women were thinking the exact same thing...
