Chapter 6 by Spioch Spioch

Does she catch her?

She catches her, but it does not go well

The big green bag tipped forward and took a girl with it. She tried to take a step forward to maintain the balance, but the only result was that she tripped over a door threshold.

A scream echoed in the stairway as a small girl fallen forward, knocking Julia over. Julia tried to catch the girl, but was surprised by sudden change of the direction and got hit straight in the face by the top of the backpack.

She fell back first bruising her tail bone, then got slammed to the floor as a body of the girl and backpack she fell on top of her. Causing her to hit her head on the floor.

When she came to it she heard a wailing of a banshee. "So I'm in hell. This is how it ends" she though. Wailing didn't stop though, piercing her ears and burrowing straight into her brain causing immense pain.

From within the splitting headache another feeling made her uncomfortable. Cold water was dripping onto her face. She shook her head trying to get if out of the water stream, only to be rewarded by another spike of pain - piercing her head straight from the neck to her forehead. Julia left out a pained grunt, only to be rewarded with more banshee wailing.

Finally she managed to open her eyes and realized that the banshee was named Karolina. She was crying and overall having a complete mental breakdown over Julia's still very much alive body. The water dripping on her face was of course the tears produced by the cry-baby leaning over her.

"Shut up" ...... "My head is killing me" she continued after a long pause between sentences

Well - that didn't help at all.

Karolina started wailing again, in between trying to catch her breath, and trying to say some apologies. She choked on her tears and barely managed not to cough (or even worse throw up) on poor Julia.

"Yea. screaming at the girl won't make the situation any better". Julia thought to herself.

Let's try a different approach.

"Can you bring me some water?" that might work. Nope. The sobbing continued.
"Bring me a glass of water". More direct approach. Karolina - still sobbing didn't quite register though.
"Water! Please!" Julia said in a commanding tone. That finally seemed to wake the girl up.

She started to get up ... and dropped Julia's head - currently gently resting on the girls lap onto the floor with another thumb and a primal scream from the woman's throat.

"I surrender! Please don't kill me!" exclaimed Julia, who was hurting so much at this point that all that was left was gallows humour. Still lying on the floor. With a girl in a jumper now curled up in the corner and trying as much as she could to merge with the wall - that was pretty much all she could do.

"Hey! Hey! Karolina? It's ok. Relax. I'm alive. But I need your help ok? OK?
Just please be careful this time.
Deep breaths. Yes. Good. I need you to call the ambulance ok?
I might have a concussion at this point, you have your mobile right? Good.
Call 112 please. Don't tell them anything, just that there was an accident and you're worried there might be a concussion.
Address is Battle Medics 6/9 - 1st floor.
Tell them I'm conscious and communicative"

Communicative she was, much more then the poor sobbing mess sitting in the corner. All-right, what was next? She tried hard to remember her first-aid lesson.

"Do you know how to do recovery position?"

Karolina shook her head, then realizing the woman can't see her answered "No" meekly.

"That's fine, I'm not even sure if you should do it for someone with a concussion. Let's just wait for the ambulance."

For the record, I checked, and you shouldn't move someone who can speak. Recovery position should be used only for people who are **** and people who are conscious should not be moved if it's safe to remain in a given position/place. You learn something from porn every day!
