A cute tomboy, ready to move in!

Julia unlocked the two door locks and removed the chain. She no longer really used it properly, but it was a habit from the old times to put it on. The city was once a plaything of gangs, but nowadays it was one of the safest cities in Europe, and in the whole world for that matter.

A drunk girl could walk through half of it and not find any trouble. A drastic change from the old stories she heard from her mother - when if you took a wrong turn in some quarters you could see a gang of guys doing a ****-train on some dramatically unlucky girl.

That's assuming you were not that unlucky girl, **** over and over by uncaring monsters.

Back to reality the doors finally swung open and in them was a young woman - or possibly still a girl. She could have had maybe 160 cm of height and about 50kg of weight. Small, skinny, petite. Those were three words that best described her. She didn't look older then high school, and a huge tourist backpack that was towering good 30 centimetres over her didn't help the impression. Making her seem tiny in comparison. She was wearing a jumper with the hood on her head, from under which a strand of brown hair with blond highlights escaped.

"Finally! Sorry! I mean, thank you! I was afraid I will be stranded here for hours! I should have put down the backpack but I wasn't sure I'll be able to pick it up again if I did! My name's {Karolina}. Nice to meet you!" She said it all practically as one sentence, and seemingly using only one breath of air. She then extended her arm to greet Julia.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Was all that Julia managed to respond with.
"I'm your new room-mate! From the ad?" Responded the confused girl.
"Sorry, it's some kind of a mistake, I have not placed any ads looking for the tenants" said the woman.

Although she was seriously considering renting out some of the rooms. The apartment had 3 bedrooms, bathroom (with the shower and a bath), in addition to a toilet and a washing machine, toilet, kitchen, and a hall. Well over 120m² total. Half a dozen of university students could live here comfortably. Way to much for one person.

"Is this Battle Medics 6/9?" a girl asked.
"Yes. But again I'm the owner, and I have not placed any ads"
"I have this contract" she produced the printout of the email or a website.

The address was indeed correct, but the pictures must have been stolen from some other place because the building was different and apartment certainly too. The price for renting the room was also silly - five hundred per month gets you a bed in a 3 person room - if you're lucky and the location is bad maybe a very small closet converted into a "living unit". "Living unit" because legally it can't be even called a room. A small solo room - even if very small - in the strict centre of the city was at least double that - if not triple or quadruple.

"Sorry, you must have been scammed. This is not the apartment from the pictures, and the price is completely unrealistic" Julia said and saw a girl completely deflate and tip over the door threshold as the centre of gravity lowered and the gigantic backpack she was wearing moved dangerously to the front.
