What's next?
Taco Tuesday
“Oh, fuck.” You moan in pleasure.
“Good shit, right?” Viv asks you rhetorically, before enjoying a big bite of her own Birria Taco. “I treated my staff here when they finished their training before we had our soft opening. They all fucking loved it.” Viv shares with you. Viv takes another bite of her taco, but she dips it into the consomme first. “Try it with this. I swear.” Viv points to the consomme she ordered for the two of you to share. You dip one of your tacos into the consomme before taking another bite as well.
“Oh, yeah. Mmmmhmm. Fuck that hits the spot.” You can’t help but moan out before going for another bite.
“Easy with the orgasms there, chief. We’re in public.” Viv teases you.
“I can’t help it. It tastes so~ good!” You reply to her with a mouthful of tacos.
“I didn’t get a word of what you just said.” Viv tells you with a laugh before going back for another bite of her own taco. “I’m glad you like it. Although, you didn’t let out this much sex noises while eating my food.” Viv replies, but whatever she was saying was scrambled by her eating of her taco too.
“What?” You ask her to repeat with a mouth less full of tacos this time.
“I said, YOU DIDN’T MAKE AS MANY SEX NOISES WHEN YOU WERE EATING MY FOOD.” Viv replies louder than what was necessary now that her mouth wasn’t full.
“That’s cuz Dos Hermanos Tacos are better than sex, güey!” The vendor from the Dos Hermanos food truck shouts out in reply to Viv’s loud statement that he overheard. The crowd surrounding the food truck as well as the people in line shouts out in agreement before having a collective laugh then going back to their own conversations.
It doesn’t surprise you that this street is still full of people even at this hour. There are bars and comedy clubs along this strip, so it’s always jovial at night. Like you said, this city isn’t famous for not sleeping for nothing. Besides that though, Dos Hermanos has a Taco Tuesday promo tonight that gives free drinks to everyone buying their Birria tacos. So you assume that explains the line to get tacos even at two in the morning.
“Now you know how I feel when you guys tease me about my writing.” You jokingly answer Viv’s observation about making sex noises after tasting these tacos.
“Oh, shit. Is my food that bad?” Viv reacts in genuine shock and horror.
“Wait, what? Is my writing that bad?” You react in equal horror, the subtext of Viv’s reaction not lost on you. Viv breaks into a laugh upon getting genuine concern out of you.
“I was kidding. I got your point. We all have our preferences. You just like tacos more, and I like coherent storytelling.” Viv teases your life’s work, and you pretend to get hurt by her words. “I’m kidding! I’m the same girl who read the wiki of Game of Thrones instead of reading the damn books, remember? Thinking too much while reading just isn’t my thing.” Viv explains.
“I was kidding too. I know my books aren’t for everyone.” You tell her.
“Maddy seems to enjoy them. How she figured out all those timelines is beyond me.” Viv points out.
“Must be a result of her having always been a book reader… that and not having anything better to do. Has she told you her dad limits her TV and internet usage? Homeschooled too. Just so that her dad can protect her from boys.” You inform Viv, and she gets a look of realization as to why Maddy’s the way that she is. The look of realization is soon replaced by a knowing smile as she looks at you. The knowing smile turns into a chuckle. The chuckle then builds up to full on laughter.
“What?” You ask, not sure what she’s laughing about.
“Her dad tried to protect her for her entire life from boys; and the moment she gets some semblance of freedom, the universe leads her to you. That’s fucking hilarious.” Viv explains, and you immediately understand what she means. Stella and Cassie had the exact same observation too.
“It’s that obvious, huh?” You ask her with a chuckle.
“If that girl wore her emotions on her sleeve, it would be a huge improvement. At least it wouldn’t be as bad as the bright shining beacon of her blushing every time you get mentioned.” Viv jokes, and you can’t help laughing at her assessment.
“You’re not one to talk about being obvious, future girlfriend.” You tease her.
“I—” Viv starts before stopping herself abruptly and taking a bite of her second taco.
“I know something’s going on when I’m the one flirting with you and not the other way around.” You tease her.
“Ever considered that I’m not flirting with you anymore since I realized I don’t like you?” Viv asks you with a serious tone.
“Nope.” You answer her nonchalantly but honestly. You know she likes you. You checked before going to bed.
- Nguyen, Vivian - Affection Score: 76 (+14).
Love Score: 28 (+6)
Lust Score: 61 (+3)
“Someone’s getting cocky just because a teenager’s head over heels in-love with them.” Viv jokes.
You wouldn’t say in-love per se.
- O’Brien, Madeleine - Affection Score: 48 (+6).
Love Score: 18 (+2)
Lust Score: 94 (+11)
You still don’t understand why Maddy’s so sexually attracted to you, but it was something you considered to be a problem for another day.
“So~, is she girlfriend number seven?” Viv asks you curiously.
“I mean, if there wasn’t a threat of Mr. O’Brien killing me I’d—” You start considering the idea, before you realize that the number Viv used was of some interest. “—Wait. Seven? Why seven?” You ask her, before actually raising your hand to count the possible number of girlfriends you’ll be having with your fingers… and stopping as soon as you realize how much of a douchebag you must look to Viv.
“Done counting, Junior?” Viv teases you, and you can’t help but apologize for doing so. “You don’t need to apologize. Must be hard to keep track of all the girls that are attracted to you.” Viv adds sarcastically as a tease.
“I really only asked since the number in my head from the time I asked you and Brooke out was five. Who’s number six?” You asked her.
“That’s some revisionist history there, Junior. I was the one who asked you out.” Viv points out to dodge the question. “I’m guessing your girlfriends told you about my plans for this Sunday?” Viv asks you to really derail your original question.
“They have. We’ll be happy to join you Sunday night for dinner.” You answer her genuinely, which gets Viv to let her guard down and take another bite of her taco.
“Is it Becca?” You ask her straight up to cut through the bullshit, and Viv’s reaction pretty much confirms that Becca was the other woman that made her count, as she pauses from chewing with a mouthful of tacos. “What’d you find out earlier? Is that why you needed to talk to someone tonight?” You continue to ask.
You assumed it was Becca that Viv was talking about since it’s not like you don’t know Becca doesn’t like you in some way. Checking her scores before going to bed pretty much confirmed that.
- Hoffman, Rebecca - Affection Score: 38 (+13).
Love Score: 20 (+15)
Lust Score: 49 (+11)
Becca’s romantic feelings for you are growing, unlike the only other possible option that Viv might have considered which was Paige.
- Halliwell, Paige- Affection Score: 23 (+11).
Paige doesn’t feel any romantic or sexual feelings towards you, and if Viv was going to consider her as number six, she’d be lying since your interactions with Paige earlier during lunch wouldn’t have indicated anything that would make Viv think that. Unlike Becca.
Viv swallows the food in her mouth before looking up at the night sky and taking a deep breath. She looks unsure of how to answer your question. You wish you could say that you were considerate and wanted to wait for the answer that she seems to be struggling to formulate, but you couldn’t help taking another bite of the Birria taco after dipping it in the consomme and letting out moans of pleasure again.
Your moaning and loud chewing breaks Viv’s concentration from staring at the sky, and she looks back at you, an amused smile on her face. You awkwardly pause your loud chewing upon realizing she’s looking at you now and not at the sky. As awkward as it was to pause mid-chew, now that her attention is back to you, you made it even more awkward by chewing much slower to not distract her with your loud chewing.
“You really like those, huh?” Viv asks you.
“They’re fucking delicious.” You answer her with a mouthful of tacos. You assume she didn’t understand a word of what you just said, as she just stifles a laugh as pieces of food fly from your mouth; that, thankfully, didn’t hit her. You feel you may have given her another chance to derail what you were talking about, but Viv seems to not want to avoid that conversation anymore.
She just wanted to ask something more important first.
“Before I answer your question, I need to ask you something first.” Viv tells you, and you nod to show her you understand.
“What do you like about me?”
