Chapter 7
by MissTaken
What did he say?
Let's find out.
As soon as the kids are situated comfortably in front of the TV, you move to the kitchen and open Rick's text.
"Can we talk about this in person?" it says. "I'll buy you lunch."
You're not sure what to make of it. You imagined a number of ways in which he might respond, but this wasn't one of them. Much to your own surprise, you're actually considering saying yes. He's your friend, after all. Wouldn't it be rude to say no? Josh would be fine with you having lunch with a friend, even if said friend was male, but would it be appropriate in this case? Aside from some harmless flirting, you haven't done anything wrong and don't intend to. You're going to tell him it was Janie who sent the text either way, but wouldn't it be better to tell him face-to-face? It seems like he might be planning to let you down easy again anyway. Why else would he feel the need to buy you lunch when he believes that you'll suck his dick regardless? Even if you're wrong, though, and he is planning on taking you up on Janie's offer, wouldn't it be more courteous to break the news to him in person? Wouldn't he, as your longtime friend, deserve that level of courtesy? Perhaps more importantly, don't you want free food?
What do you tell him?
