Jack vs Roger

Paris is sitting next to Daisy, turns out she grew up as an “only” child. Cianwood like Pallet was a small town so Paris didn’t have any friends her age. The more you get to know her, the more it seems like finding out she has a secret sister might be a dream come true.

You won your match, it being first of the day again, and Paris won her match right after yours. John and Humphrey both won their matches too. Roger has been moping all morning, he doesn’t think he can beat Jack. You don’t think he can either, but you do feel bad for him.

Yuruki stayed back in the room, she was still recovering from last night. But you knew she was cheering you all on from the comfort of the bed.

“Good luck,” you whisper to Jack as you hug her. You don’t want to rub it in Roger’s face that you’re rooting for your girlfriend.

Today’s host is Lyne, the movie star. He is well known for playing the romantic leads in all the sappy romance films. “Next up is Jack of Fuchsia City vs Roger of Violet City. Let’s hope for another great battle.”

The crowd cheers as Jack and Roger make their way on stage. Your entire group is trying to be louder than the rest of the stadium combined. Jack throws out Marowak, she’s not going to take it easy on Roger. Roger also pulls out his ace, Pinsir. “Wow, a foreign Marowak! Pinsir might be in trouble coming up against a fire type.”

Marowak spins it’s bone baton, a wheel of fire as it charges Roger’s pokemon. The blow lands but Pinsir parries with a x-scissor. “Pinsir is already in danger.”

Pinsir picks up rocks, it looks like rock tomb. Roger didn’t come unprepared, the TM from the Pewter Gym is coming in handy for him. Jack’s Marowak is **** to dodge the incoming rocks.

A couple rocks land against the Alolan variant, but Jack is calmly guiding her partner through the storm. Marowak throws their bone, the fiery rod vanishes like a ghostly apparition, reappearing feet before hitting Pinsir. The blow lands and Pinsir stops throwing for just long enough for Marowak to lunge with another flame wheel.

“And Pinsir is unable to battle. Roger is down to his last pokemon,” Lyne says in a professional manner. He’s so different from Cindy’s commentator style.

Roger tosses out his second pokemon. Dwebble, more rocks coming from Roger. Dwebble launches a flurry of rocks. The rock slide manages to hit Marowak, the blow manages to knock him out. For a moment you actually wonder if Roger can actually win.

Jack throws out her Sandygast to go up against Roger’s Dwebble. “Ooof, sucks for Roger, Sandygast will resist both the bug and rock type moves,” Paris says from next to you.

“He was hoping to take out Marowak first so that Jack wouldn’t pick Sandygast,” John informs the group.

“We worked all night on this strategy,” Humphrey laments.

Sandygast hits Dwebble with a handful of mega drains. Dwebble tries its best with rock blasts and bug bites, but nothing seems to be worth it. As Sandygast drains the rock crab of its health.

“And Jack of Fuchsia City wins,” Lyne announces.

The whole group cheers, even the boys. They may be disappointed over Roger’s loss but they’re still happy for Jack.

“Amber!” You freeze, recognizing the angry voice. Walking past your row of seats is Blue and Zoe. Her face is still covered by the muzzle Yuruki secured to her face, you assume she is still wearing the chastity belt too. “Give me the keys!”

You have the keys in your bag. With all the Team Rocket business, you had forgotten about Blue and your leverage over him. “No,” you say, trying your best to stay calm.

He growls in anger. The fact that battles aren’t allowed inside the stadium is the only reason he isn’t challenging you. “Don’t you need to get down there?” John asks, letting his presence be known.

“How about a bet?” Blue grins, trying to bait me into giving him the keys.

You steady yourself, not wanting any fear to come through, “Like you have anything I want.”

Anger burns in his eyes, part of you just wants to give in, to not be in this power struggle with him. He grabs Zoe by the back of the neck and storms off in a huff.

“Who was that?” Paris asks.

Daisy laughs, “He’s my brother, well I guess our brother.”

“How many of us are there? And what about the girl in the mask?”

“There’s us, Blue, Douglas, and… Ashley. So 5. That we know of,” Daisy fills her in.

“The girl is Blue’s pet, Zoe. She does whatever Blue says,” you tell her.

Paris just laughs, “This is crazy. I think I need a drink, anybody else?” All of you are done battling for the day so everyone raises their hands. John and Humphrey offer to help her carry.

“How you holding up?” you ask Daisy now that you’re alone.

She rubs her hands together, “I don’t know. I’m going to know in a couple days, but then what? Do I really want a relationship with a Team Rocket member? Do I tell Blue? What about Paris or Douglas? I just it’s hard.”

You hug her, “Well, we’re all here for you. For anything.”

“Thanks,” she says, hugging you tighter.
