Licking Your Wounds

John lays Yuruki down on the bed. You and everyone taking seats around the room. “Is everyone okay?” you ask rubbing your sore shoulders.

The rest of the room remains quiet, everyone licking their wounds. John wrapping ice in a towel to put on his eye. Daisy and Jack are both wiping away drying cum. Yuruki is **** on the bed. You grab a towel yourself to clean up too.

The silence is too much to bear. You turn on the tv and the tournament comes on screen. Two random strangers are battling, you don’t recognize today’s host but he doesn’t seem nearly as distracting as Cindy was. Jack hobbles into the bathroom and seconds later you hear the shower turn on.

The battles continue as everyone mopes over the devastating loss at the Team Rocket hideout. After Jack returns from her shower, nobody else moves so you decide to go next. The water is scalding hot, you scrub washing away the dried remains of today’s loss.

You rest your forehead against the wall, letting the water run over you. How did you honestly think going up against a criminal organization would go? You knew they had the police in their pocket. Thinking back to Ashley and Surge’s battle, you should’ve guessed they had the gym leaders too. Is it just Surge and Erika? Or will you be facing more evil gym leaders?

You finish up in the shower, knowing that Daisy still needs to get clean. You walk out with your towel wrapped around you. “And next up is Ashley Ketchum of Celadon City vs Terry of Pewter City.”

Daisy doesn’t even look at the screen before disappearing into the bathroom. You ruffle through your bag finding a bit of healing salve. You apply the medical salve to your cuts from the razor leafs, the burns from the fire, and the bruises from the bubbles, or are they from the manhandling?

Ashley’s time on screen is short as her Mawile destroys Terry’s team. A short burst of ads is played before Dede Devin comes on screen next to Ashley. “Dede Devin here with our newest winner, Ashley Ketchum of Celadon City. How do you feel? It was fairly one sided out there.”

“I feel like it would save everyone a lot of time if they just gave me the trophy now,” she says, her tongue piercing catches your eye when its in view. She gives the camera a devilish grin, reminding you of Blue.

“Quite the confidence. Since you’re from Celadon City, do you feel as if having home field advantage is going to help you in the tournament?” Dede asks, her teal hair stays perfectly in place.

“Honestly I think what’s going to help is the competition being as terrible as it is. I could beat this lot blindfolded in Sinnoh and still not worry about the outcome.” Ashley walks away without letting the journalist ask another question.

Dede stares, a little amazed that someone would just walk away from her like that. “Well you heard it here folks, Ashley Ketchum might just be our next Rookie Tournament victor.” The ads return, trying to sell some new model of pokeball or an obedience class for grass types to train them to weed your garden.

John is changing out his home made ice pack. Jack catches your gaze, both of you look to Yuruki. “Should we be worried about her? Do we need to go to the hospital?”

“Can we even trust the hospitals? Did you see Erika sitting there in the bosses room?” John says, icing his eye again.

“She’s the one who caught me,” you admit.

“Seriously?” Jack sounds surprised.

You nod, “I actually had her beat.” You pull out the gym badge you took.

“Oh shit,” Jack reaches out for the badge, “Then what?”

You tell the story, how you had her pinned but then she managed to **** you. “What happened with you and Daisy?” you ask John.

“They swarmed us after you ran. They flipped a switch and the spin tiles disappeared. I tried my best to fight them off, but my team could only do so much against their numbers. They beat my pokemon and then they beat me,” he says, pointing at his swollen eye. “They tied me up and then threatened Daisy into submitting to them.”

You feel bad for her. You know what the Rockets did to you, but you’ve at least experienced with being used by trainers after losing. This might have been Daisy’s first time being used in such a way.

“Similar story on our end. They beat our teams and then when Yuruki fought back they beat her. I gave in realizing I wasn’t going to get away right then. I thought I might have a chance later if I was at least conscious,” Jack explains.

“I guess that means we lost,” Yuruki’s groggy voice chimes in. She sits up rubbing her head. You’re relieved to see her waking up.

You fill Yuruki in on everything that happened. Daisy returns wrapped up in a towel mid way through the explanation. “Ah fuck, that damned after party,” Yuruki says with a growl.

“You’ve heard of it?” John asks.

“Heard of it? I was a rookie once upon a time, and like most rookies I couldn’t turn down the kind of cash they were offering. I didn’t realize it was Team Rocket running the damn thing though.”

“Are we really going to do it?” Daisy speaks up for the first time. “This is all my fault,” she breaks down crying.

You scoot onto the floor sitting next to her, your backs to the dresser. Jack joins you on her other side. “You didn’t make any of us do this,” you comfort your crying friend.

“We’ve got you,” Yuruki says, “I love you, and you know that true cause I’m agreeing to go even though it involves dick.” Yuruki shivers in disgust.

Daisy laughs through her sobs. You and Jack take her hands in yours. “Thanks,” she says, “I love you all.”

“Well, I’m going to take my shower now. Turns out being **** didn’t save me from being used as a cum rag,” Yuruki says, standing on the bed and walking across the furniture. Yuruki’s spirits help lift the mood in the room. Everyone turns to the tv when Douglas’s battle is announced.
