Transported

The four of you pack light, expecting to be able to resupply on your trip north from the portal. The raptor sisters seem excited about a new arrival, and Marin is keenly interested in the portal. Despite your assurances that it’s not particularly interesting, the tiger girl seems to have endless curiosity.

Shortly after lunch, Unir arrives. There is no fanfare, no honor guard, and if you didn’t know better, you’d think him just an average citizen of the city. However, there is an aura of authority about him that belies his humble appearance.

He seems to be all business, however. “You four are prepared, it seems?”

You nod. “Ready to go. What do we need to do?”

Unir smiles. “Nothing, really. As your home is built from stone, I can transport you from here. Please gather close, this will only take a moment.”

As the four of you gather, you feel a hand smack your butt. Naia winks at you, but before you can respond, there’s a trembling below your feet. With a lurching feeling, you simply cease to be in your home, and you appear to be in the woods, with the portal building only a short distance away.

Naia giggles. “That was so cool!”

Aisha laughs. “And impressive. That’s a week long journey in a blink.”

You nod. “And now we’re here. Let’s go see if Gregor remembers me.”

Marin grins. “And check out the new girl!”

You laugh. “Just don’t overdo it. Let her get used to us first, it’s a big shock, coming from the new world.”
