Courtney was heading home

Courtney was now heading home after work. It was pretty dark outside. She worked overtime because of the other employees not showing up for work today for some odd reason. It made her feel pretty uncomfortable actually. All throughout the day she was met with the same eerie silence. The only thing that broke the silence were the few customers that came in once in a while and Manager Kim who came in to check on her more than usual today.

Everyone always got that weird feeling. The feeling of being _watched. _That is what Courtney has been feeling all day. Even after leaving work, she felt as if she were being watched by something. Right when she thought that she was going to go home and have a normal day, Courtney remembered that she forgot her phone at the store! She'd left it behind the counter! She let out a frustrated sigh, grasping at her hair for a moment. It was so disappointing when she made mistakes like these all the time. Manager Kim was used to her making mistakes by now. It was kind of her to just let Courtney stay working even after all of the mistakes that she made.

Sprinting back to the store, Courtney felt herself slam into something! She fell to the ground and grabbed her forehead, confused on what she shit. She was looking at the store in front of her. It was easily within her grasps, able to be reached from here. She stretched her arm out while standing and her hand spread out against some sort of invisible surface. Courtney tried to push herself through this unviewable barrier with all her might — still failing in the end.

"What...! What's going on?!" She cries on, confused on what this was. Surely this was just a painting! Someone painted a replica of the store and just put a wall in front of it! That's what it was! There couldn't have been some sort of magic or anything happening in a situation like this!
