Potions and more.

As they arrived in the potions wing, Ez closed the large doors and helped his brother move a desk in front of them. “Alright, well, first things first, we should see if we can help Beth.” Ez decided.

“I’m not sure how,” she said, “I’ve been corrupted.”

Ez nodded as Tamara held her, “We noticed the changes and the glowing. Can you tell us anything more about the changes?”

Beth sobbed as she said, “A demon, he, he came in me, his cum corrupted me,” she shook in Tamara’s grip.

Daniel nodded, “So the odd transparency and the glow, that’s demonic corruption?” he asked.

Beth shook her head, “Not the glow, that’s, that’s his child.”

All three were shocked, and it showed. Tamara recovered first, “You’re carrying a demon child?” she asked.

Beth nodded before Ez said, “That complicated things, I was hoping we could make a potion to strip corruption, but demons are resistant to magic. It may not work.” He shook his head, “But we should try.”

Beth looked at each of them, “You think so? You think we could mix a potion to fix me?”

Tamara smiled. It held little confidence, “It’s worth a shot. What are you thinking, Ez, Yugurtz clarifying elixir?”

Ez shook his head. “I thought we should go straight to the heavy hitters, Bart’s.”

Beth looked up at him, shocked, “Bart’s binding. It will strip my magic as well?”

Ez nodded, “I know, but there are rituals to undo it. Once we are out of here, the coalition could restore your magic. But if Yugurtz doesn’t work, it will give the offspring magic to feed on.”

“So my choices are risking losing my magic forever or risk feeding this demon parasite?” she asked.

Tamara’s shoulder’s slumped, “We’re not going to **** you, but I think Ez might be right. A binding potion will stop your magic but should absorb the changes brought on by corruption and bind the magic of the demon spawn. Without magic, demons can’t grow. It will die.”

“I need to think. Magic is part of who I am,” Beth protested.

Ez went to say something, but Daniel put his hand on his brother’s shoulder. “We will gather the ingredients for both potions. Maybe you should do what Master Ryan always says.”

“When in doubt, meditate. Even if the answer doesn’t come to you, calm will, and answers surely follow,” Beth said. “Alright, give me a little while to meditate, and then come find me.”

She left the group to find a quiet corner and sat down to meditate. She was uncomfortable in the tight jacket and felt constrained. After a few failed minutes, she stripped it off and tried again. Soon her mind relaxed, and peace came to her.

She was there for almost an hour, though it didn’t feel that long. When Tamara finally came in, she heard a gasp, and Beth opened her eyes. Between Beth’s outstretched hands was the glow of magic. “How?” Tamara asked, “none of us can do that?”

Beth was confused as she stood up. She was reciting a mantra while meditating and incantation, and it worked. “Do you have your wand?” she asked.

Tamara pulled it out of her robes and handed it over. Beth took a moment to focus and said the incantation of light. A warm stable glow formed as Beth felt magic drawn from deep within her.

“Ez, Daniel, come quick,” Tamara screamed.

The two boys came into the room and stopped in shock, both at Beth’s nakedness and the glowing light. “How on earth?” Ez asked.

Beth frowned, “It’s being drawn from here,” she said, putting one hand on her abdomen.

Daniel’s eyes went wide, “You’re connected. Demons are beings of magic. You are connected to the demon through your placenta. You are drawing from the demon.”

Beth let the spell go, “Well, that fucking complicates things. I can cast magic as long as I remain pregnant? Fuck!” she screamed. She took several breaths, “Well, I guess that decides it.”
