Pool Time: Part 1

Thelsia had ordered a small collection of snacks and about three different kinds of beverages she found in the selections; while waiting, she started thinking about how a similar system could make potions in its library of options on command and started wondering how to get things squared away with Althana on that project, a discussion for later. But for now, she just wanted to try enjoying Yuri’s literature collection with some snacks; almost none of the foods in the selections were like any cuisine she had tried before; granted, her exploration of such things was pretty limited, but was still also more expansive than most people in the area. Yuri had few physical books, he had told her so much during some of their alone time when talking about his home when they had talked in the past but had also mentioned having non-physical books as well, which piqued her interest.

Thelsia managed to find an option on the kiosk that let her pick from more than just snacks, and after using a spell to understand unfamiliar languages, she found a selection that said it was a reading tool; she decided to check it out. When everything arrived, there was a small black item in the general shape of a book but much flatter than most of the books she had encountered. After a moment of investigation, Thelsia found a set of buttons on the device and tried pressing each of them; a few seconds after pressing the largest of the buttons, the face of the device flickered on and welcomed her to a device that called itself an “Electronic Book Reader;” then a set of icons that looked like miniaturized books were on the face of the device. She accidentally touched one of the books on the far left with her thumb, and it zoomed into view. And then asked if she would like to continue from the previous point or start the book over from the beginning.

The characters were unfamiliar to Thelsia, but the spell she had cast moments prior was enabling her to read those same characters as if they were familiar to herself; she would have to get Yuri to give her a crash course on the alphabet and its rules later. But for the time being, she had a small library literally at her fingertips to read through. She told the device that she wanted to start the book over from the beginning by tapping the option that indicated she wished to do so. This was going to be interesting. She absentmindedly grabbed one of the snacks she had requested as she settled in at her chair to read the books on the device at the poolside. The first title she took to reading seemed to be a story about a knight and a dragon falling in love.

Inoshana shot a quick, disappointed look at Malza before continuing her way over to Yuri; she made sure her stride accentuated her figure with its movements, a trick taught to her by her own goddess during her training period in preparation for this day; it took her few minutes to get over to him; he looked a bit uncomfortable with the situation, he had likely kept his mind off the subject until recently and just now begun to drop his guard again. Chances were the location was a primary contributor.

“I find this all fascinating,” said Inoshana as she came up to Yuri, “but I have some things to work out with you.”

“When and how do you want to get intimate,” inquired Yuri, “I know how this works already; I’ve certainly done it more than enough times at this point to get that much, even if I’m still a bit uncomfortable with a few situations. For the first time, I am aiming for it to be private, as in no one else is involved.”

“And I’m fine with that,” said Inoshana, “and have no doubts you’ll just know what needs to be done when we get to it. I’ll send a request to the appropriate parties for necessary refreshments, but that’s not what I want to discuss with you. What I wish to talk with you about concerns my guardian; I’m confident even with overhearing us, she won’t get involved with our conversation or even interject in it; she’s too dedicated to her duty to do anything like that.”

“I’m guessing you wish for me to get intimate with your guardian as well,” said Yuri.

“Yes,” said Inoshana flatly, “and I happen to know that being observed in a **** state excites her,” a quick glance at Malza by Yuri showed him some very overt signs of uncomfortableness and embarrassment, “and I was wondering if you have word or term for such a state.”

“The term for someone that gets excited, especially sexually, at being watched, especially in a **** state or state of undress, is referred to as ‘Exhibitionism’ with the individuals often being referred to as ‘Exhibitionists,’ if I recall things properly,” said Yuri. “And if that’s really what she wants when the time for intimate time comes for her, then there are a few ways I can think of to make it happen. The impact I’m going have on this world in the years to come is going to be absolutely insane.”

“Excellent,” said Inoshana, “I’ll go and talk with the mage and the alchemist to see about getting what we need for the evening.” With that, she strode towards where Thelsia was reading, taking the same strides she did when she approached Yuri.
