Persuade [Speech]

Madeline walks back to the large tent they had just left from and barges back inside. The sentry from outside chases her in.

“Hey hold it!” He yells out. Lieutenant Hayes looks up and places his hand on his holstered pistol but upon seeing just Madeline doesn’t go full bore commando.

“Get out of here lady.” The young sentry commands in a firm voice “Sorry LT. fucking tribals.” He moves to grab Madeline by the arm.

“Please Lieutenant Hayes I need to talk with you.” Madeline pleads as she is quickly manhandled by the guard, she struggles and tries to retch her arm free.

“Hold it Private.” Lieutenant Hayes commands “leave her be.”

The soldier eyes the girl, the Lieutenant Hayes. “Yes Sir.” He releases the girl and proceeds outside the tent again.

“What is it…Miss?”

“Blackwater.”

“Miss Blackwater huh?….very tribal what can I do for you?” he grunts as he folds the map over again eyeing her warily and also lustily.

“Lieutenant Hayes. Me and my companions are looking to travel north. You seem like an officer and a gentleman and I believe you know you could easily help us with information concerning our travels. We are not from around here and know very little of the customs and workings of your society. We simply want some information.” Madeline relaxes her stance slightly but looks deeply into the Lieutenant’s eyes.

“You don’t seem like you are a tribal.” He crosses his arms defensively trying to read Madeline while avoiding undressing her with his eyes.
