Permanent Residence

After a few deep breaths, she manages to get the first part out. "I-I need you to promise that you won't **** what I'm going to do, o-okay?"

You tilt your head a bit before shrugging and nodding.

It seems this was not a good answer thought, "N-no, I need a more solid confirmation on this, a-alright? This is something that I... I just can't take a chance on this, okay?"

You are somewhat taken aback by her rather firm response, and give a confident nod as a reply, performing an X gesture over where your heart would be. Then again, "cross my heart and hope to die" has a lot less meaning when you are an undead who just comes back to life if they are killed.

She seems to accept it regardless though, as she closes her eyes to brace herself in order to speak. "Iwanttojoinyourdungeon." She said it super fast in a singular word, it was honestly impressive.

You stared at her blankly for a moment, not confident you heard her correctly. You use your finger yo try and clear your ear out, only finding a surprising amount of resistance. You hold up a finger for Sahara to wait for a second before fully tilting your head to the side and giving it a few hits with your palm. The result is an outpour of sand that continues for nearly a minute before you are satisfied and gesture for her to repeat herself.

She blinks a few times in disbelief of the spectacle she just witnessed, before shaking her head and doing as requested. "I... I want to join your dungeon." She stared at you for a moment in an awkward silence. You fidget with your hands before gesturing for her to continue.

She looks at you in confusion, "D-do you want me to make a persuasive argument?"

You shake your head, and try and figure out how to explain what you mean. You had two general questions. One was why she wanted to join you (which you could somewhat guess), and the other was if she could actually send the request, as you have no concept of that system.

You settle on trying to tell her the second one first, it seemed more important. You gesture to yourself, then cross your arms, and then gesture to her. You then gesture to her, then you, and give a thumbs up.

This does not have the desired effect, as she just stares at you with a concerned look. Before you can ruin this opportunity, you drop to the ground and make arrows out of the sand. You cross the one from you to her, and emphasize the one from her to you. Lastly, you gesture to where a character sheet would have menus to hopefully get the point across.

She cautiously opens her menu before looking where you gesture, her face finally lighting up when she sees what you think is the option to send the request. You see her press a few buttons before gaining a confused expression.

You have no idea what seemed to be the issue, until she spoke up. "It says... that I can request to be a 'Quest Character'?" You shrug, not having a clue as to what that is. She shrugs back and you see her press an option before recoiling at something.

She looks around the invisible screen, you trying to peek over her shoulder at the air in front of her. "There are... a loooot of options here..." You look at her and shrug. Whatever she chose, it would be best if it was her decision. "I'm ah, I may need some time with this, sorry." You wave your hand and give a thumbs up before giving her some space.

With that out of the way, you decide to check your character sheet.

You would smile if you had lips. The buff you got from leveling up twice was nothing to sneeze at, you cannot wait until you actually evolve. With the checkup on your stats out of the way, you check the fame menu. The points could wait for a later date.

Well, that was great. You got a great amount of fame, but most of it was from two adventurers seemingly deciding to spend their lives making you suffer. It was a very good thing you did not have any path that could be tracked...

Note to self, get rid of the cart. Just like, push it into the distance or something. Whatever got it away from here would do just fine. You could probably even break it down and hide the planks in the dunes, but that may be overkill.

You are shaken out of your thoughts as you hear Sahara speak up from behind you. "O-okay, I-I'm ready!" Her voice almost sounded more nervous than when she asked to join you in the first place.
