Payment

"What is it Asami?" I ask her. She turns to the table and motions for me to sit. I look around and see the room's empty. We take a seat before she starts speaking.

"Master, have you figured out the pay for Irene and Marlo yet?" She asks me in a serious tone.

"No, not yet." I reply causing her to sigh.

"I was afraid of that. The two of them already went to bed, but they did ask about this beforehand. They didn't know when we'd pay them, so they asked about it. Do you want me to handle it? I could find an appropriate sum for their work today."

"No, thanks for offering, but I should do it. I'll be doing it more often from now on."

"Do you know how much they should be paid?"

"No, not yet. But I bought some books for this. They'll teach me the basics for paying my Guildmembers. The government wrote it, so it should be accurate. But I haven't started them. I thought I'd have until tomorrow before they'd do any work since I didn't think we'd get the Ruins this soon." I say causing her to smile.

"Good, I was a little worried that you might have forgotten." She says with a smile. "When do you think you'd have time to read it? It's not good to make them wait too long."

"I know, I'll take it with me to school tomorrow. I can read it during lunch, or during a few classes." I reply causing her to smile wider.

"Good, now that that's taken care of, what were you doing in the workshop?"

"I was making a few items for the new Guildmembers. They're nothing too special, but they'll be useful for them."

"That's good, but remember not to give out any Legendary or Mythical items." Asami says causing me to nod. I yawn and she stands up. "Let's get to bed." She says as I stand up with her. We go to the bedroom and fall asleep.

"Master, wake up." I hear someone say while shaking me a little too roughly. I open my eyes and see Innu sitting on the bed next to me.

"Innu? What time is it?" I ask upon seeing her and the sun through the window.

"It's past your alarm time. I think your phone died." Innu says while passing me my phone. I check it and sigh before sitting up and plugging it in.

"Thanks for waking me Innu." I say causing her to smile. She hugs me and I pet her head before letting go and disappearing. I go to my apartment to shower and check my notifications. I Observe the fur Luna found yesterday in the Ruins.

Lightning Tiger Fur(30), Epic

This Fur contains great amounts of magic. It is soft to the touch and highly conductive. It is considered one of the best materials for lightning. It will add lightning to any attacks or armor. It can be used in Alchemy to brew lightning-resistance potions or speed-enhancing ones.

I accept the quests before I get out of the shower. I go to my Domain and quickly eat breakfast.

"Master, don't forget that the other members will be here today. The last one will be here shortly before you get back." Asami reminds me as I eat. I thank her before kissing her bye. I leave for the Guildhall and go to my office. I don't run into anyone, I assume they're still sleeping. I find the three books on paying Guildmembers and store them away. I go outside and walk about twenty feet away before taking out my motorcycle. It can be loud, and I don't want to wake them up. I do look at the arena Builtos is making, and see it looks nearly done. It's only about two stories tall and has a large doorway on each side. It's in a circular shape and has a massive hole in the roof, right above the arena. There's a magic device built into the roof that will create a barrier to keep rain out. There are stands full of seats similar to sports games inside. Underground is where the storage rooms are. I turn away and start driving to school. I get there and see Myla alone.

"Hey Myla, where's Hino?" I ask her, after getting off and storing my bike away.

"Hey Eric, Hino's at home now. She sprained her ankle this morning during training. She'll be at school before it starts, she just needed to stay behind to get it healed. But how are your new members doing? The second should've arrived, right?" Myla asks.

"Yeah, and they're doing fine. We got the Ruins yesterday and they joined Luna, Innu, and I in exploring them." I reply as we get inside.

"How are the Ruins? Did you get anything good yet?"

"I didn't but Luna did. She tamed a Baby Lightning Tiger and made it her Familiar. His name is Sparks and she's been having a lot of fun with him. She was chaining him around when I left this morning." I say, remembering how I saw Luna chasing Sparks in circles earlier. She kept trying to pounce on him, but he'd always get away. I did notice him using magic, and a few sparks of lightning on his fur. Myla laughs hearing this before the bell rings. We say bye before going our separate ways. I sit down in my math class and reach into my desk. I take out the first book and open it. I start reading through it. Ms. Robins does notice, but she doesn't stop me. Since my grade is an A, she's fine with me not paying attention. I get about halfway through it before the bell rings. I push the book back into my desk before storing it away. I stand up and leave, going to my next class.
