Chapter 11 by HenryKajitani HenryKajitani

Can anything else stop Lucy?

Parking

The wind and rain continued buffeting Lucy's poor sedan as she pulled into the apartment complex entrance. Her towel had fallen to her waist as she was back in full-focus mode.

Her next obstacle was getting through the apartment gate. Tenants were supposed to get a clicker, but Lucy hadn't received hers. The gate had seemed so lovely when she was fully clothed...

She pulled up as close to the keypad as possible, but concrete pillars prevented her from getting too close. At least it had a covering with a light overhead to block the rain. She rolled down her window and stretched for the keypad, but she was comically far away. She unbuckled her seatbelt but knew there would be no way to reach it like this.

There was no way she could lean out while holding her towel in the wind, so she took a deep breath and steeled her nerves. Lucy gripped the bottom of the open window with both hands, resting her knees on her seat. She used one arm to support herself as she pushed her whole body through the window. The wind blew fresh droplets of rain onto her fully exposed top.

Sadly, she still couldn't reach the numbers. But Lucy was never one to give up easily. Her hand gripped the top of the pillar in front of her and pulled herself yet further out of the car. She balanced her knees on the edge of her window, a ludicrous display when she could have just opened the door. But finally, she reached the keypad and punched in her code.

After successfully opening the gate, Lucy finally squirmed back into her seat and buckled up. She pulled her car through the gate and into the flooded lot. Empty spaces were incredibly challenging to see through the darkness and water, but eventually, she parked her car.

Ideally, Lucy would've parked closer to the stairs, but across the street at another building unit was the best she could do. Again, she threw her lanyard with her keys around her neck. She grabbed the towel that had pooled in her seat and wrapped it around herself while she prepared to venture into the monsoon outside one last time.

She threw open the car door and jumped out, her bare feet plunging into the shin-deep water. It was ice-cold. Lucy desperately wanted to run, but the height of the water made it impossible. The wind threatened to knock her over while she waded through the open street. When she eventually made it across, the sound of a car moving through the water made her drop to a squat.

Squatting down brought Lucy so low that her ass had dipped into the freezing water. Another brand new sensation on the most sensitive part of her body. This new feeling made Lucy gasp as the car rolled past, crashing water over her whole body and into her open mouth. She did her best to stay quiet while she coughed out the rainwater. Eventually, she picked herself up and moved to the outdoor stairwell, bracing herself against the wall.

When she caught her breath, she began the most dangerous leg of her journey. The middle of every flight of stairs faced out of the apartment building, completely exposed. Luckily for Lucy, few seemed to be venturing into the weather outside. These flights of stairs were her only remaining obstacle.

Her towel sagged with the weight of the water it had absorbed, making it even more impossible for Lucy to cover everything necessary. Her damp feet gripped the concrete stairs. She knew the elevation would accentuate the pitiful length of her towel. Rounding the first half flight, Lucy reached the second floor without much issue.

The adrenaline had made her body numb to the cold. But the sound of a voice echoing through the hallway broke through the racket outside and tested Lucy's patience.

How does Lucy react?
