Chapter 10 by HenryKajitani HenryKajitani

What could keep Lucy from her apartment now?

An old engine and a lot of water

Lucy's wipers flew across her windshield, hopelessly trying to clear the waves of rain from her view. The low rumble of the engine and the torrential downpour drowned out all other noise.

Whenever headlights appeared in front of her, she had to grip the steering wheel tightly with both hands so she wouldn't lose control. Lucy was certain no one could see into her car in these conditions, but it still made her heart race, knowing how little there was protecting her modesty.

The only clothing she had left was a thin towel. She couldn't even spare a hand to fix it as it fell below her chest. Her damp hair continued dripping onto her chest, and the drops rolling down her nipples constantly reminded her how exposed she was.

The red stop light glowed through the water rolling down Lucy's windshield. She had a moment to release her white-knuckle grip on the steering wheel and rest for a moment. Looking down at herself, she observed how un-ideal her towel actually was for cover. It could barely cover her nipples and her crotch while standing up. Pulling it to cover more of her chest or ass would leave the other fully exposed.

Exploring the range of her towel and options she had, Lucy had pressed her hands against her nether regions. She reluctantly realized that her lips were wet from more than the rain. The embarrassment made her blush, but it didn't make her move her hand. Everything that had happened - wearing a skirt, showering in the rain, stripping in the gas station - only empowered her emotions more.

There was no denying that she was really fucking turned on.

And then the rumble stopped.

The rain was still deafening, drowning out Lucy's audible panic at her stalled car. She forgot all other worries as she frantically turned the key, "Please, please, please, pleeeeease, not right now." She twisted the key, jiggled the steering wheel, mashed the brake repeatedly, and played with the transmission. The car would turn over, but it wouldn't start. It was only a matter of time before someone else rolled up to the light, and who knows what would happen then.

Again, and again, and again, she tried, but the car refused to start. One sound broke through the deafening downpour: a knock on her window. It was so startling that Lucy nearly jumped out of her skin, relieving her of this mortal coil. Her thoughts were running a marathon, while her heart sprinted the 100m dash as she decided what to do.

Pushed to the edge, Lucy cranked the engine. One second passed. Two seconds passed. Three seconds passed.

Finally, the engine roared to life. She felt evil for leaving a well-meaning stranger behind without any reason, but she had more significant priorities as she sped back down the road.

Can anything else stop Lucy?
