"Your brother did the right thing young lady!" Walden Cole said. "You should be thankful he was there to protect you from that pervert."

"He's lying! He didn't even see what was happening!" Madison yelled.

"He was felling you up!" Brandon yelled back at his sister.

"He didn't do anything! We were just talking and you scared him off. Now he won't ever talk to me again!" Maddison yelled at her family before turning around and running up to her bedroom and slammed the door.

I'm going to get to the bottom is this" Walden said picking up the phone.

"Hey Carlos it's me Walden" he said putting the call on the speaker. "Did you hear about the fight today?"

"Hehehe" Carlos Rivera chuckled "Sure did. It's the only thing Lisa has been talking about. Your boy ok?"

"Yea he's ok. Just a couple of bruises, It's going to take more than a couple of boys to take him down." Walden said proudly "Say, can I ask you a favor? Can you look up and maybe tell me what you know about those two kids? Have they done this before? I'm thinking we might have to press charges."

"You're barking up the wrong tree Waldon." Carlos said.

"You found nothing?" Waldon half-asked.

"I know them." Carlos said "The kid that was talking to your girl, Gavin? I've known him all my life. He's David Westher's boy. He's a good kid, always very polite. Lisa said he was just talking to Maddie and I know he'd never do what they said he did."

"Are you sure? How do you know?" Waldon asked him.

"Wally." Carlos said sympathetically. "David was my best friend, hell he was my best man at my wedding, you were there remember? I've been keeping in touch with them ever since he died, you know see if they're ok. The department even helped get him the scholarship to the school. He's a good kid, no way he'd cross the line."

"Well what about the other kid? Maybe he put him up to it." Waldon said a bit unsure of himself now.

"Zack Bishop?" Carlos said "No way. He's the spitting image of his grandfather. If Zeke wasn't still alive, man I’d start believing in reincarnation. Zeke showed me and David all the ropes and tricks when we were rookies. Zack is just like him, even got the same tell. Look Wally," Carlos added sympathetically "I get where you're coming from. I do the same thing for my girl, but... I gotta tell you, I'd leave my girl alone with either one of those two kids. Hell I'd leave them alone with her and give them a box of rubbers, I'm that sure of them. Believe me, something else happened there but they're not the problem."

"Thanks Carlos" Waldon said softly before hanging up.

"Honey, did you see Gavin touching Maddie? or did they tell you he touched her?" his mother Vanessa asked.

"But Mom! He was feeling her up." Brandon protested.

"Brandon! Did you see it or did they tell you?" Waldon said, his hard eyes fixed on his son. Now he more upset that what Brandon had done just might have left him looking like a fool with his friends.

"He wasn't lying." Brandon said.

"Honey. It was Dylan right?" Vanessa said taking Brandon's hand and when he nodded, she added. "Brandon baby. I think your friend just played you."

Lisa and Madison were each in their rooms talking on their phones.

"Did you see how Zack tackled him? That was Fucking Fantastic" Lisa said excitedly. "And then he punched him right in the face. If that other guy hadn't shown up I bet he'd really teach your brother a lesson."

"Yea it was... but... my parents still believe him." Maddison huffed while she complained "They always take his side."

"Nah, I just heard my papa telling you dad off." Lisa smirked "They'll believe you now."

"I hope so." Maddie said

"Now You! My bestie. You listen to me. You need to find a Real Man. Someone who will stand up to your brother and put him in his place. " Lisa said.

"What you mean...someone like Zack?" Maddie asked.

"Hands off bitch" Lisa laughed "I'm going to get him. You find your own stud. Unless Gavin decides to step up his game."

'Why the hell does Mom have a whip' Gavin wondered has he rubbed his butt where his mother had literally whipped him. He gingerly sat on a cushion while he waited for the computer to power up.

He dried a tear on his check has he remembed what his mother had said. 'Don't you ever do that again. Always, Always treat a girl with respect, Don't you ever do that to me again. Don't you ever do that to me again.' Even has she had yelled at him she wouldn't stop crying. She really didn't seem angry just incredibly sad.

"Don’t worry mom, I won't. I won't get in trouble with a girl ever again." Gavin mumbled to himself has he logged into the computer and started reading the blog explaining the latest linux exploit.

Chloe and Zack stood outside on the sidewalk look out to Gavin's house halfway down the block where they heard the sounds of Diane yelling at Gavin.

"Let's go back inside." Monica said turning the kids back to their house.

"Mum? Why is she yelling at Gavin." Chloe asked her mother "I thought we did the right thing?"

Monica looked down at Chloe and brushed a strand of hair back in place and said "You did the right thing sweetie. We're proud of you. We really are. I don't know what's wrong but your mother and I will put it right tomorrow. I promise. Aunt Diane... is just.. she under a lot of stress and sometimes, sometimes people make mistakes. Don't worry, we'll help fix it tomorrow. Now you two have to go inside."
