Owlet Bones & Amethyst

“Owlet Bones and Amethyst right?”

She frowns, immediately letting go of you.

“No. You almost had me fooled”.

She turns away and wades toward the shore in a huff.

“My parents told me about this and I thought it was just them being dramatic. But it’s obvious you weren’t listening at all. We had a whole conversation about it! You’re a fucking asshole”.

You try to excuse the answer as misremembering, and as you look downstream everybody around is watching the both of you. She screams and swears at you while getting dressed. Soon she is fully dressed and walking back in a huff.

The other people at the river try to keep their whispers quiet, but it’s obvious that they made note.
