What happens next?
Overcome with Embarrassment, Roman Runs Away
No more did the girls have another moment to inquire, before the pseudo stranger bolted down the halls, hiding his red face with one of his arms, the other clutching a book close to his chest.
They made no attempt to chase after him, of course. That likely would have exacerbated his humiliation. However, they kept watching, until he had turned the corner and was out of sight.
"Poor guy. Getting bullied. On his first day, too," Yang said.
Ruby affirmed with a heartfelt grunt, crossing her arms, thinking of all the things she wanted to call Cardin.
"He looked kind of familiar; don't you think?" Blake muttered.
"He looked kind of young, too," Weiss thought aloud, not really acknowledging Blakes question.
Yang, prompted by Weiss' observation, prodded her sister in the side.
"He could be your age, Rubes! You could both be little prodigies."
"Yang!" Ruby mirthfully waved the thought away, having been broken out of her angry stupor. She looked back to wear the red-haired teen had run off to, with a glum expression, before saying, "I don't know. He seemed kind of..."
"Weak," Weiss finished her sentence for her.
Ruby seemed hurt with the thought, however, "I didn't mean it like that. It's just... y'know."
"If Jaune could get in," Yang offered, "anyone could."
"Anyway," Weiss said, "there's nothing left for us to be standing around here for. We've got classes to get to."
They each began following after the heiress. Although Ruby still spared one more glance back to where the boy had been, kind of hoping that he would come back, so she could be assured that he was fine. As is, she was going to be worried about him all day. Maybe, if she sees him again at some point, she can try then.
Clutching onto the book, as though it was the only thing keeping him from falling apart, Roman was panting an empty hall, banging his head into the wall behind him in embarrassment.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid! They were all right there. Augh, I blew it. I feel like an idiot!" he whined.
Roman couldn't recall ever being so embarrassed; he just looked like a wimp in front of the very girls he had come here to torment.
He was only looking for some quick fun at ****, anyway. He could also do anything he wanted, so why had he taken that so seriously.
He hadn't actually considered that becoming a teenager would suddenly make him so self-conscious and so... uncharismatic.
He huffed.
It was still early. He wasn't going to let this get in his way. He just needed to think up a better strategy. That's all.
Writing in the book,
No one will believe that I'm Roman Torchwick, but will believe I'm Jon Lampwick. They will only see me as Roman Torchwick, if I tell them. I have my own dorm room to myself.
I am in my dorm room.
Roman hoped that there were no issues with his phrasing. Sure enough, though, when he gazed up from the book, he was in another room all together. It was completely bare, mind, only having four beds and an en suite bathroom.
However, Roman knew that this was his room.
Now, there was still the matter of the girls. Since he had gone to the trouble, Roman wanted to play the long game here.
Start simple. Roman just chotted down.
I have Red's number on my scroll. If I send her a text, she will follow any order written and answer any question truthfully. She will not remember receiving the texts, nor will she show them to anyone else.
He still didn't really know their names, the only name he knew the book to know was "RED," so she'd be the start he needs.
