Biography:
Oriax was born in the demon province Purgatory. The duke of the region was not good at governing it and was often mocked for being the weakest duke, so when he learned young Oriax was an S rank, he demanded his parents handed their son over to be raised by him. Thus, poor Oriax grew up never knowing who his parents were.

Duke Krun treated Oriax well, though, letting him have friends, educating him in religion and governing, provided him with military training, and got him a private magic teacher once his skill in earth magic showed. Oriax showed great interest in architecture and Krun funded extra classes for that. He also got his daughter to groom the young Oriax into being infatuated with her so he would want to marry her once he came of age. She was 20 years his senior, but demons live a long time, so when Oriax became old enough to marry, she still looked very young.

Despite having already been married to duke Krun’s daughter, Oriax still had to report to the Demon King upon coming of age. As Oriax worked under the Demon King, he came across a female kobold that he became very attracted to and got into a relationship with, thus cheating on his devil wife. His kobold girlfriend understood that his marriage was a path to nobility and he had to stay married. Thus, when Oriax's wife was around, she pretended to merely be a member of Oriax’s party. Only when the wife was not around did the two kobolds have sex. Later, Oriax and his kobold mistress became good friends with a succubus whom they allowed into their relationship, knowing they could use her as support should Oriax’s wife ever find out about them.

But Oriax’s future as a duke was ruined when another S rank, Keres, challenged his father-in-law for his title. She fought him in a duel and won. Thus, taking the title of duke from Krun and made herself the new duchess of Purgatory. Because of this, Oriax’s wife could no longer inherit her father’s duchy and could also no longer pass it on to Oriax. It was a difficult loss for her, and when she discovered about Oriax’s unfaithfulness it made her feel even worse. Though in the end, she had to admit to herself the only reason Oriax even married her is because he was groomed into loving her, that his feelings for her were artificial while his feelings for the other 2 women were genuine. So, she told her husband that she would accept his relationship with the other 2 women, but in turn, he had to find a way to become a duke, like he was supposed to be.

About a decades later, a plague ran through the province of Elysium and through a stroke of ill fortune, it killed the entire ducal family. The S rank which governed the region, as well as his wife and all his children were taken. There were no distant relatives either, so the ducal title reverted to the Demon King. Tradition however demanded that the king didn’t govern 2 provinces at the same time. So, they announced a competition amongst the S ranks. Any S ranks without a ducal title would have one year's time to present the demon king with an artifact. It can be crafted or collected from a dungeon. The one who brings her the winning item would be permitted to become the new duke of Elysium .

When Oriax’s wife heard of this, she demanded he participated and win the duchy. He thought about the kind of artifact he could be crafting, and decided for it to be a pair of bracers to increases the wearer’s strength when used. But for that, he would need ingredients from creatures known for their strength. First, he needed some copper and tin, which was easy enough to buy. Then he needed to find a Behemoth for its bones. Fortunately, he came across a capricorn fiend who offered a quest to kill one. The creature had attacked her village and killed her parents. She had no money to pay with however, so Oriax suggested she could pay with her body. So, on their way to slay the Behemoth, Oriax had sex with the goat fiend every night. When eventually the time came that Oriax killed the behemoth and got his materials, the fiend was so grateful that she decided to stay with him as his fourth girlfriend. The next creature Oriax had to defeat was a cyclops for its blood. On the way there, his wife caught an imp trying to steal their gold. She first tied that thieving bitch to a leash and suggested the lot of them used her as a sex toy. By the time they reached the cyclops, the imp’s mind had been broken and she had accepted life as their free use slut. The group managed to kill the cyclops, but while draining his blood, they heard sounds from a cage close to the ceiling. Apparently, the cyclops had caught himself an alp and demanded her to sing for him like some kind of songbird. Oriax liberated her from the cage and the alp was so grateful that she declared to dedicate the rest of her life to him.

Having finally collected all the materials, Oriax got to work. He forged the copper and tin into bronze, added the behemoth bones to the alloy and whenever he needed to cool the metal, he made sure to temper it in the blood of a cyclops. That way the item would absorb the strength of both. When he was finished, he tried the bracers out himself and found that it doubled his strength.

When Oriax presented his 'bracers of strength' to the demon King, he discovered he was the second to complete the quest. The first one was Katarea, who presented the Demon King with a silver crown that increased the wearer’s maximum mana points. A month later, another S rank, Helel, presented the king with an artifact as well. An orichalcum sword, upgraded with the bones of a fire salamander, the heart of a fire elemental and the feathers of a phoenix. At the end of the year, the Demon King carefully studied each of these artifacts and declared Oriax the winner. She returned the crown to Katarea and the sword to Helel, but since Oriax won the duchy, she passed the bracers to Beleth, the strongest of the S ranks. And so, Oriax and his six girlfriends departed to the Elysium provincial capital to reign as its new duke.

Oriax decided to quickly marry all of his girlfriends, making their bond official. Then he delegated the responsibilities for governing to them. His alp wife would take care of culture, his imp wife became the treasurer, his fiend wife would drill his army, his kobold wife would organize industry, his succubus wife could be his spymaster and his devil wife would be his chancellor. With all of his wives governing his province, Oriax could finally get to his one true passion. The one he had discovered when growing up under Duke Krun’s care. Architecture. He would transform his palace into the most magnificent piece of art that has ever been created, and with the help of his earth magic, he would do it all by himself.

When Ziges started his rebellion, Oriax's wives were torn between what to do. Two of them wanted to side with the loyalists, another two wanted Oriax to join the rebels, and then there were two who felt it was best to stay out. Oriax himself didn’t feel like getting bothered by who would be the new figurehead of their nation. And so chose neutrality, rather then let himself be interrupted from his art project.
