‘aaaaannnd Send!’

I quickly closed my emailing software and turned my chair to face the glass window. Seeing the setting sun on the horizon, I couldn't help but stretch my limbs.

“Hnnngh!” I groaned.

‘Another day over.’

I sighed again.

‘Just how have I managed to dig myself into such a position.’

Getting off from my chair, I look across the cityscape that was painted in an orange-red hue.

‘I should be enjoying life yet now I'm sitting here managing companies after companies where millions of US citizens and billions of people worldwide depend on my corporation constantly running to sustain themselves.’

I looked over to Adonis, who sat there on a cushion bench like a statue and when he noticed by stare, he looked over, nodded and got up.

“Wait for me by the elevator.” I said as I headed toward my secretary's office.

Opening the door to Cheryl Ming’s office, I see her still at work. Her office desk like mine, stacked with folders. She, herself typing away on the keyboard.

“Cheryl, I'm heading out for the day. Go home.”

Cheryl simply nods before continuing her work.

I sighed again.

‘Why did I have to select a workaholic as my secretary? Yes, she was the best of many candidates but her workaholism is going to be the **** of me.’

Deciding to not shout again, I walked down the path toward the elevator. There I see Adonis waiting for me. Then, an idea hit me.

“Hey Adonis, Cheryl seems to listen to you. Why don't you go and convince her to take the night off and also the weekend. She deserves a break.”

This was totally not me wanting a break as well.

Adonis simply nods and walks toward Cheryl’s office. As I was turning around, I noticed the edge of Adonis’s lips wane upward.
