Of course

You move into the pilots' seat on the shuttlecraft, you think you have seen this done enough times before. Rachel buckles in behind you.

"What is going on, Aaron?" she asks.

"The ship is going to crash. We need to escape" you try to keep from mentioning your family.

"What about Mom and Dad?" She asks

You don't answer, you hear her unbuckle...

"We have to help th-"

"-they're dead." you turn around to look in her eyes, blue like yours and staring at you in disbelief.

"what?" she stammers beginning to cry.

"Please buckle back up." you nearly cry yourself.

You start to prepare what you think is the way to work this craft. Your adrenaline is pumping fast, you make some mistakes, but you seem to be able to control the aircraft. You begin to take off from the ship, the ship jamming on the locking mechanism.

"Crap," you say; you must have forgotten to unseal the shuttle, usually the last person in would do it. However, your sister must have not known about it.

"Rachel, I have to go disengage the seal; I'll be back in a minute," you tell, she doesn't even lookup.

You ignore her, heading towards the seal on the shuttle. This is costing you precious time; you reach the door when you notice something floating by in the corridor. It seems to be some large package; for some reason, it catches your eye, and you go out of your way to get it. Quickly disengaging the lock on your way back in with it.

You head back up the cockpit, pull forward on the controls, as you lift off from the crashing ship. You aim your vehicle towards the habitable zone around the planet. As you leave the craft, you see just how damaged it really was with half of the enormous ship missing. The area around the vessel is filled with an absurd amount of debris.

"It looks like too much wreckage. Like the whole fleet was destroyed here as well," you say, gazing at the tremendous amount of wreckage in orbit.

Your sister, however, is silent, she is in too much shock to offer much commentary.
