Of course you do

You are slowly climbing down a steep slope, Yasmin just above you. You had to make a detour to get around the falls, adding maybe a half a day to your travel time. However the environment here is different the trees are smaller and denser, even the moss grows denser here too.

"Careful," you remind yourself.

That's when you hear it. It was a terrible noise like a mix between a howl and nails on a chalkboard coming from above you.

"WHAT WAS THAT" Yasmin points her rifle up into the trees.

"I don't know," you follow suit.

You see a grey ape-like creature climbing through the trees, it is shaped like a chimpanzee, but its skin is a wrinkly grey color, and its eyes are a deep brown, it has a fleshy crest of white-tipped tentacles descending down its back, wearing rudimentary clothing around its lower body; and it is staring at you two.

"What is that?" you mutter to yourself...

...You see more coming from your left. The one in the trees seems to smile revealing past its human-like lips a mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth, it leans back bracing to leap onto you, tentacles pointing upwards to make it seem more dangerous.

"Aaron!" Yasmin shouts.

"I don't think they are friendly," you say, aiming your rifle at the creature.

You aim at the creature lining it up, you breathe in then out, pulling the trigger as you hit the bottom of your breath...

...The creature falls dead from the trees. Soon afterward you move to the moving horde, you fire a couple more shots off killing some more of them. However, more keep coming.

"RUN," you shout at Yasmin...

...She tries to take off down the slope but ends up tumbling down it instead...

..."SHIT, SHIT, SHIT" you exclaim firing at your pursuers while trying to get to Yasmin.
