Eventually, the door swung open and a someone stepped though. You couldn’t see their face, the view blocked by stacks of bags and boxes.

From the looks of the legs and the hands, your new roommate was male. He was muscular, with thick legs and long fingers. But his skin drew your attention. It shimmered and sparkled, and there was only one species who’s skin looked like that

“Need some help?” You offered.

He waddled into the room, his leg kicking the door shut before he walked further into the room.

“Hello,” there was an edge to his tone that there wasn’t before, “I guess you’re my roommate?”

You nodded, standing and holding out your hand, “I am. My name is John. What’s yours?”

He took your hand, bowing low and placing a soft kiss on your hand, “Oberon.” He didn’t let go of your hand as he stood straight. “I hope we have alot of fun together.”

You raised a brow at the double meaning, “it was certainly be interesting.” His smirk spread into a wide smile.

You held your ground, refusing to pull your hand back and trying to ignore the sparks that travelled up and down your hand.

You had a Fae, one that could teach your their language. You could be one step closer to studying Fae history. To be the first human to truly understand it.

But, you didn’t know him. You assumed he was sex driven like all Fae. Which means he might be willing to make a deal. Or, you could wait. Get to know him better and maybe he will want to help.
