Obvious Answer is Obvious

The three of the stood watching Buffy for a minute, trying to figure out how Xander used his power. It was xander who figured it out as he groaned as he placed his head in his hands. He answered, "We have been over thinking it."

Gile perked up, "What do you mean, Xander? Have you figured it out?"

"Mark of the Judge, literally. Crime and Punishment. I mentioned a crime and gave a punishment, betrayal and reading. Now Buffy is following that punishment. Who wants to bet if I did the same thing, we get same results. In fact..." Thought Xander before he continued.

"Buffy, for being a good test subject you are given a pardon from doing the reading I sentence you to." With his words, Buffy dropped the book and shook her head.

"Okay. That was weird." answered Buffy, with a slight glare at Xander.

Willow took that moment to speak up, "Buffy, how did it fell like?"

"It felt like... it felt like it was something I had to do, something I deserved to do. It's harder to explain then that." answered the blond slayer, as she tried to explain something she couldn't quite put into words.

"We'll still need to test this, as awkward as it is. Still, we can decide where to start and where the lines are. If Xander can restrain himself from making jokes which might be under this affect." answered Giles, as the needed to get back to work.

"So where do we begin?" asked Buffy, looking at them all.
