Not quite... but it doesn't go well (Edan)

"AHHHH!" You hear a bloodcurdling scream coming from the foliage on the right.

"What!?" You gasp, your head turning quickly to the sound.

Below, you hear a loud and deep RUHHH! Followed by the deep sound of hooved feet bounding off, as the herd begins to flee and pick up speed, the ground-shaking as they run off to the left. Only just barely from beneath the cacophonous noise of the Oleu, you make out a deep yet loud rumbling sound, almost like an engine idling.

"Aaron!" Mira says, "rev, ambu!" Bounding up and joining in with the stampeding Oleu, heading off quickly left, disappearing into the jungle.

"Uh...," You stutter, wondering what she said meant, before just deciding to follow suit, heading off behind her quickly.

With your enhanced form, you quickly catch up with Mira, "What... Wat is going... wat is hapnin..." You ask, passing in and out of using Edan in your confusion.

"Teru... ambu...," She manages out, panicking, stopping dead when you notice a substantial bird-like creature standing before you two.

It is nearly three times as tall as you; its head was bending low, resting on top of its long neck, looking down onto a mangled pile of flesh. Its beak-like maw coated in blood, as it ripped another chunk from whatever you do not want to know. You almost did not see it, as it nearly blends into the purple and green leaves of the trees, with its similarly colored feathers, attached to its deep brown-black skin.

Your body reacts quickly, your head feeling light as you instinctively back away suddenly. Following Mira as you both run behind a tree. It stands there looking around, facing away from you, not yet seeming to notice you two; hopefully, it wouldn't. Your blood is pounding in your ears, as adrenaline courses through you.

You look at the creature, trying to figure out what it was. Examining the animal from your semi-safe vantage point, you notice that it resembles a large flightless bird on earth, similar to an ostrich or emu.

You look back to Mira, who stays close to the trunk of the tree, clutching her spear tightly. She seems uncharacteristically scared; in fact, she is trembling quite severely.

"Mira?" You whisper; however, she must not hear you as she continues to panic.

You hear another deep rumble, curious; you slowly peak out from behind the tree. Only to see the giant bird swallow whatever the mass of flesh previously was whole, extending its neck to the canopy to do so, watching the lump run down its throat.

"Mira?" You whisper again; we need to get out of here, you tell yourself.

However, she still does not respond.

You look back at the bird; you need to get over to Mira and snap her out of it. The bird meanwhile turns its head looking for something, gazing low. Its small black eyes seem to meet yours, shit, you pull back, hiding behind the tree trunk.

"Mira, wi hav tir," you whisper to the still unresponsive woman.

Hearing the footsteps of the bird getting closer, you have to do something, what? Can I even fight that thing, can we outrun it, you wonder, so much you don't know; all you do know is you have to do something, anything and quickly...
