Chapter 57 by TwilitDesires TwilitDesires

Ahsch hoped he could get some help properly writing up the rest of his first version of a holy book. There was plenty of work to do, after all.

Not a Chapter/Shameless Plug

tl;dr: love everyone who's shown any support (likes, comments, follows, etc). I have a Patreon with very little in the way of patron perks.

Don't worry, I'll put out an actual chapter this evening around the usual time. But, I realized that, even though I have it on my profile both here and on Literotica (oh, did you guys know I write/wrote on Literotica? Strange Salvation takes up all my time currently - more on that later - but if you want more of my writing in larger chunks, head over there!) I've never 'gotten in the way of my readers to say anything about having a Patreon. Which, unfortunately, is the best way to actually get interactivity from people (there's some statistic out there that the more clicks people need to do to get where you want them, the less likely they are to reach that goal on their own, or something like that).

Now, I'll be upfront: I most likely have undiagnosed ADD, which means that I have very little in the way of useful coping strategies and a lot of my plans get procrastinated into oblivion. My current streak of (almost) daily writing on here is a result of some coaching; it was my first goal when I started getting help and I'm obscenely proud of how that's been going. But what that means is that my Patreon is basically a tip jar for the time being: most of the tiers only get access to a Discord server, and the one that doesn't is the $1 tier that essentially gets nothing. I'm hopeful that at some point I can get my head figured out enough to be able to do early-access or polling of some kind, but as things stand that's all a bit off from being reality. There are some old posts up from a couple years ago when I had tried to do early-access, and I've left them up as a sort of museum exhibit or something, but as things stand right now I can't devote myself to doing much in that direction.

As a further upfront bit of honesty, I'll most likely never make writing my full and only job, at least, not for a long time. Insurance is crazy expensive and the structure of a usual day job is really helpful for me to keep a schedule. That's why the current only goal is at $1,000, because while I can see myself lowering my FTE at my day job to 'part time but still with benefits,' I just can't see myself keeping shit together if I have to provide myself the whole structure around my life. Again, #futuregoals, but not something tenable right now.

As for my Literotica stuff, nothing there is currently being worked on, but none of it is fully abandoned either. The short, 'come home and write' chapters for this story is currently the best habit I've had, and it keeps me accountable through my ADD since I've promised daily updates. My previous goal was to write a page daily and publish for one of my Literotica works once a month, but it's a lot easier to let laziness sneak in when the deadline is weeks instead of hours. I am working on doing some writing for longer-form stories, and we'll see how that goes, but no promises at this point.

So, yeah. Thank you to everyone who has liked, followed, or commented - it all helps. And if you can, consider supporting me on Patreon.

Until this evening!
