Chapter 14 by Urhr93

Is there any mercy for him?

No mercy for the wicked

She may have hesitated the first time, but not the second.
Not even if her opponent was an humanoid, one who could speak and plead for mercy.
Sure, a surge of guild did cloud her mind as her blade stabbed through his neck and almost sent his head flying... but maybe thanks to Anubis influence, such feeling was soon dampened as the realized she was just sending him back to her god's embrace.
It'd be just like for the beasts she previously killed... it was simply the law of this world, and while she didn't enjoy it she still had to fight for herself as she was sure they would have done if they had the upper hand instead.

For the other goblins she was like a flash, and despite their level being slightly higher they still died before realizing it.

There was nothing to loot, and it wasn't like their corpses could be dismantled like the animals for resources... no, for humanoids, the way to show respect for a killed opponent would be to bury them.
But did she have to start digging graves now? She knew it'd be the right thing to do, and Moonsing could most likely be shapeshifted into an useful shape for this... but how long would it take?
Moreover, would Samantha agree to help dig or even agree to do it to being with?

But then she had a feeling, and extended her hand towards the corpses.
The ground trembled, and soon swallowed them while leaving behind a small mound of earth as if representing their graves.

Was this Anubis blessing at work?
Since he was a god of ****, he'd also make it easy to set up tombs?
However Sae had a feeling... as easy as it was to bury them, just as easily she could raise them back up. As mindless undeads under her control.

She didn't want to even think of it, and so just thanked Anubis for making it easier to bury her opponents before setting off to search for more enemies, thanking the 3 dead goblin for helping her level up to 6.
Eventually she found a few more scouting parties, which she easily dispatched, and finally spotted what looked like a battered forest settlment.

There was goblin activity around and inside the ruined camp, with some acting as guards and patrolling around while some other rested inside... there were also some strange carvings hanging on the tents and tree surrounding the perimeter.
This was without a doubt their homeground, and where their leader must be dwelling. Now all that was left to do was to choose an attack plan... head on, or try to sneak in and take the leader out before moving on to the cannon fodder?

What's the plan?
