No bathroom for the rest of the trip.

"You are forbidden from using the bathroom."

Nate was confused. Didn't she already say this?

She say the confusion on his face. She said, "At all. For the rest of the trip."

Nate was still confused. He guessed that she were still operating under the conditions he had set for them in the car. He had acted out, and his parents' first response was to enact the punishment he put in their heads. It had been lifted since entering the hotel, but now they were reinstating it.

"What do you mean?" he said. "I have to use the bathroom."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do."

"No, you have to pee, sure. But you are not to step foot in another bathroom for the duration of this trip."

It was an accident, but he was liking the sound of this.

"So what I have to pee?"

"You'll have to figure it out."

"But-"

"No buts, this is your punishment."

"Okay," he said with a fake defeated pout.

"Okay. Now go to your room and get some sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow."

He returned to his room nude and, despite his sister's protests, climbed into his bed and slept that way.
