“Calm down,” you implore.

“You cannot go out there,” Haruka agreed.

“It’s only to so we can contact the other ship,” you say.

They seem to look at each other, they know you’re right. You tried at first leaving without making a fuss but Haruka quickly caught you after you only got half the suit on. You almost had Haruka agreeing with you when Yasmin came in. Now ten minutes later, you finally are done arguing.

“Fine, but I’m coming with” Yasmin announces.

“Me too” Haruka agrees.

“Look, one of you will need to stay behind,” you say, putting on the top half of the suit.

“I need them to let me know when it’s aligned.”

“Wait, then how were you going to know if you snuck out” Haruka asked.

You blush, honestly, you did not think about that. You merely wanted to avoid this exact thing from happening. Putting on the gloves, you don’t dare to look up.

“He was goin-” Yasmin is interrupted.

“I’ll stay” Haruka says “good luck,” she leans in for a kiss you on the cheek.

She puts the helmet onto your head, hearing the distinct hiss of it sealing.

You still have to have to wait for Yasmin suit up, and each of you has to make sure to bring a rifle just in case. While waiting you stand there silently, waiting to enter that black frozen wasteland.
