No, Linda remains a mortal

Linda gets up and starts backing towards the door, but Jessica is too fast. Jessica leaps off the bed and blocks Linda's path.

"Jessica, just let me go, please" Linda pleads, tears in her eyes.

"I don't want you to go. I want you to be with me. Forever" Jessica says.

"Jessica... We've discussed this... I don't want to be a vampire" Linda says emphatically.

"But it feels so good. I can't describe it-" Jessica says, but Linda interjects.

"I don't want to be a killer. You killed that girl. For no reason" Linda says angrily.

Jessica looks down. After a pause, she says "Linda... I'm sorry. I lost control. I didn't mean to. I'll be more careful. I'm sorry". Jessica looks up, and Linda's anger seems to be softening.

I'm not sorry. It wasn't an accident. It's the best that I've felt in months.

"The urges. They're so strong. All the time" Jessica continues. Linda pulls Jessica into an embrace, and Jessica wraps her arms around Linda, holding the human close. Linda's kisses Jessica's neck gently.

"I know it's hard. But you need to be more careful. You need to control yourself. You're not a killer, Jessica" Linda says softly.

I am a killer Jessica thinks.

"I'll be more careful. I'm so sorry Linda." Jessica repeats. The human and vampire go to lay down on the bed, and promptly fall asleep in each other's arms. Jessica dreams about draining more humans.
