New student

It was Thursday when Jasmine put her ingredients out for her new student, who walked over to the kitchen island.

"Ready Amy?"

"Yeah."

"Alright."

As Jasmine showed Amy how to cut up ingredients, Spencer asked Amber "So how's the tattoo shop going?"

"Pretty solid actually."

"That's great to hear. Do any interesting tattoos?"

"Yeah." Amber's face lit up with a devious smile.

"Like what?"

"I think you'll find out soon enough."

"Okay then."

"You'll like it though."

"Sure."

The two continued to exchange small talk as Jasmine watched over Amy who put her ingredients in the pan. About half an hour later, Amy interrupted Spencer and Amber's conversation by calling out "Alright it's ready."

"Mhmm, can't wait." Spencer said. The four head for the dining table.

"Smells nice Amy." Amber said. "What are we having?"

"Butter chicken curry."

Amy placed the plate in front of Spencer, who waited for her to sit down. She looked at him with a hint of anxiety as he took his first bite. That anxiety went away as soon as he started nodding.

"This is fantastic sweetie." Amy smiled to his compliment, to which he said. "You'll have to cook more often."

"Okay then."

The four ate their meals. Once finished, Jasmine said "You think Amy's earned a break from doing the dishes tonight?"

"I think so."

Spencer collected up the plates as Amber pulled out her sketchbooks to distract Amy from Jasmine's plan. Jasmine watched Spencer put the plates into the dishwasher, eager for him to finish. Once he was done, Jasmine said "You're not done yet?"

"What?"

With an ear to ear grin, Jasmine handed Spencer a recipe for the brownies she cooked for her party. Although not what he had originally planned, it took no convincing to get Spencer to start preparing a batch. As he stirred the mixture together, Spencer felt his phone vibrate. Once done with the mixture, he decided to check his phone, finding he had a text from Cindy. Rather than open it right away, Spencer decided to wait until later.

After dessert, the four watched a movie before Jasmine and Amber went home. Not long after, Amy went to bed, allowing Spencer to check his inbox in relative safety.
